First of all, I don't want to be famous. Anonymous is okay. I just want my songs to survive time (I flatter myself). Sort of like the way Greensleves survived time and is sort of anonymous and sort of famous.
Problem is my songs super-suck at the moment, according to the YouTube thumbs up-down thingy, that is. I hope it's not all my scrabble enemies giving all those thumbs down.
Must create another YouTube account, one that isn't despising slow scrabble players, maybe? Anybody here have multi YouTube accounts? Is it easy to do? I don't want to give YouTube my phone number. Google changed things.
Any tips on how to suck less, besides "quit scrabble and do only music"? Some people seems to know the answers to these type of questions. Thanks in advance.

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

I do it for me and my girl. The whole "Pop Star" thing made me write a certain way, and that's not writing what's inside; even worse, it's going by somebody else's rules. I threw all that away because I felt controlled.
That doesn't mean I coulda been a contender. I make enough to (barely) pay the rent each month, but I get to write what I love. I'm all set.
Or maybe I'm just telling myself that

For me, the point of making music is that I like to make music. I enjoy doing that. I find the process rewarding. I have no other motive.DJ Warmonger wrote:Count me in![]()
I want the people to know my music. There is no point in making music if no one listens to it, right?Maybe its just my own lack of ego, but I've never understood why fame is considered a desirable trait. Wealth, yes, but why is it important to be known to others?
Also I believe it works the other way - being famous makes you rich. Even if millions of people in the world find you idiot and loser, you still get recognition from customers, sponsors and others.
