in this day and age you'd think we'd not have to look at thosestefangx wrote:It's even cheaper at Musician's Friend ($99)

corny-old-diamond-shaped-notes in the pattern-editor...especially from MELDA?
but alas for that price it is an indignity i will gladly suffer!
i used to always push the envelope...until someone showed me a letter-opener.

almost anything.
a basic grid would be good....it don't need to be flashy but it should be clear and easy to look at.

velocity can occur in the notation color or on a bar graph below...but the diamonds should go, really, forever.

this one has kind of a lovely MELDA-vibe to it.

Yes, but none of these are good enough! MDrummer isn't a simple grid player, it lets you play triplets, tuplets, just about anything. The "diamond" shape is the only one that has the great property of showing where exactly a note is, so even if some of you think it doesn't look "cool" enough, it's just the best workflow-wise.

well the lightest colored one i can adjust/expand and have it play at any grid-size..or i can remove the quantize altogether.
you guys are geniuses...you'll figure it out!
anyway thanks for the great work you guys do.
with only minor-complaints (which we may get to later)....i love my MELDA plugs!!!!

you know what?
i'm still awaiting my license-key from musician's friend and i'm almost giddy about finally being able to use this monster.
in the meantime i've been reviewing some of the tutorials and i must say in that short time
my heart has warmed considerably to this old drum-notation pattern-sequencer....and the concept of the diamond as the most-accurate measure of exactly where a note sits.
anyways i'll grow up and get over it....thank you for showing me the light : P
consider my complaint as officially retracted!!
