Wow, hold on. If i came across as cocky then something went badly wrong there. Our products work exactly as advertised – nothing there that we "should have known better than release".
If balloon help is such a big issue to you that you feel it diminishes the product's value then...well why don't you write me a support email about it so we know it's a big deal to you?

Sorry, the more I think about it, the less feel our team deserves this attitude. We have a track record of dozens of free updates for all of our products. PITCHMAP, which you cite, is at version 1.6.2, for example -- none of the updates were charged for, and pretty much all user requests that can be implemented within a full version number (read: which don't require a re-design of the GUI or an engine rewrite) have been added. UNVEIL is at v1.7.6 (with 1.7.7 coming up). Unfilter is 1.2.2 with 1.5 around the corner.

Yes, it'd be awesome if we could deliver stuff faster. We have three people coding full-time to maintain our stuff and make new things. No, we're not giving people the finger.

If you're THAT unhappy, call me and I'll get you a refund.

I think, and that's just my humble opinion from what I see, that it might sound offending / cocky for some that they took the time to write their wish lists in this thread and you disappeared from the thread for 5-6 months without any news from you since. Then boom you’re back, but not to talk about Morph but to share about your new product.

That pretty well sums it. I think my comments about the tooltips were probably on the Pitchmap thread, but, same company, same guy online appreciating the raves. I don't "recall" a notification for that thread in a long time. I may be wrong there.

No, I don't want a refund, I just want to be able to see what I'm doing when I use the plugin.

Well, at any rate, if you need it NOW, contact support. The MORPH update has been ready to go for about three months now, but no capacities to beta it.

I'd try something like Controllermate :D
Looks interesting, but complicated.

No, that's what support emails are for – telling companies what works, and more importantly, what does NOT work. From there, the issue gets tracked, queued up, and dealt with. We try to monitor all sorts of places on the web, but it's quite impossible to get full coverage on that.

aMUSEd: I'll see what we can do about that. It was kinda easy to support NUKE on AU as we could use some Apple driver to query the USB port. Cross-platform that is a rather more involved thing I'm afraid.

I'll admit that I was a bit harsh. Toning it down a bit...there are several requests in this thread from folks for Morph 2. Should they also take some of their time to jump thru the support request process to duplicate what they've stated here (to you, one of a handful) or could you shoot from the hip and write them on a postit note while you're here? I can't imagine it getting lost in a huge corporate beaurocracy.

Love pitchmap and M2 as far as what they do, btw. I also have tended to forget about them for the tooltip frustration, and wishing M2 was VST3. I'm on Win7-64 bit in Cubase 8.

There's a difference between a feature request (which I do take note of, and which typically already exists somewhere on our to-do anyway) and an issue breaking the product for you. The latter is something that needs to be escalated and assigned a higher priority -- hence support is the way to go.

I'll admit that i should have given you guys more insight into what we're up to.

MORPH 2.1 will feature tooltip on/off toggling, MIDI Learn for all key parameters (including custom ranges and transfer functions), as well as the option to open the manual from the GUI. These features will be standard moving forward, hence they're already in UNMIX::DRUMS. If you want to check out how they work, give UNMIX::DRUMS a go. Simple and straight-forward, really: a toggle switch for enabling tooltipps, and another toggle that will display MIDI Learn widgets next to all controls (which can also be used to open a dedicated MIDI Setup menu for that control). ETA for this is "right after AES" -- I'll be back from NYC around Nov 5th, will need about a week to get through thousands of emails, and then it's into beta with MORPH 2.1. And yes, if any of you want to help out with testing, that would be awesome! Please email me around early november & I'll get the paperwork arranged.

MORPH 2.2 is reserved for VST 3. This was supposed to be in 2.1 but alas, we use a third party plugin framework so are reliant on the SDK getting VST 3 support. That said, Or.....ermm...our next side-chain savvy product *requires* VST 3 so we will be able to retro-port VST 3 support to all products right after shipping that. No specific ETA, but it's "milestoned".

2.3-2.4 will *probably* not happen as

2.5 will see the next new sound-related features -- though spec isn't final, and of course we'll have to think well about what we put in 2.5 and what we keep for 3.0. You know, gotta eat and stuff.

Edit: you'll note that all of these are .x updates, so scheduled to be free.

Cheers,
Denis
