Automation will be possible. In many ways.( No Modular Pin Matrix however )
Thank god. The modular pin matrix is the stupidest way to present that type of interface element in a virtual instrument. I really wish XILS would ditch it.
Lol not easy to put hundreds of possible connections on barely half of an UI.

Anyway, strict modular synthesis wasn't necessary for StiX. So the UI approach is different

:?: the modulation pin matrix IS the way EMS VCS3 does work.
Given that Xils 4 is (almost ... Lotuzia...ahem full frequency range for VCOs frequency knob :borg:  ) a VCS3 great sounding emulation the pin matrix IS the smartest thing to present synth routings.

This is going to be killer if it's in the same league as the others Xils synths.......and hopefully the usual nice intro price for existing customers :)
It will be in the same league. As for the intro price, I don't know, but probably.

So maybe sound examples will come before. 8) We'll see.( and in the end, you'll also *see* of course )
I'm sure I don't know what you mean. ;)

I completely understand. If it sounds anywhere near as good as their vocoders I'm sure I'll be buying it.

What is the difference between StiX and drum synths like Waldorf Attack, FXPansion Tremor, Rob Papen Punch?

You can't buy Stix yet, the rest you can already! :ud:

Tbh I can't give you a precise date. Hopefully a few weeks. Meanwhile, there will probably be audio clips, more info etc etc. At the moment, it works ok, there are still a few missing features and some other things to polish.

Thats actually a noticeable difference :hihi:

Well there's even more differences between StiX and all these drum machines than there are differences .... between them. So to be short : Sound is different -including Xils expertise & maestria in analog signals and filters emulations- , possibilities, and, modulators are different, sequencer is different, the relationships between the sequencer and the synthesis engines are different and finally : the worflow is very different.

StiX has been designed to be extremely fast and intuitive to work with, yet very powerfull for those who enjoy pushing things to the extreme. Well more details will come as time goes, but this is the global idea.( or one way to expose it )
