I'd much rather have the PRS NF3 that's also listed..except that I've already got one. It's used daily. My american deluxe fender just hangs on the wall collecting dust.
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.

Not a bad price for a 61, even considering the refurbishing. Hardtail strats are killer and I bet the Brazilian rosewood fretboard sounds amazing.

I played my friend's 1957 Gibson J45 today. It's a really solid sounding guitar, not midrangy or boomy but not trebly and chimy either. A really great balance. I think this is in large part due to the weird wooden saddle.

Older is not always better.

1. A nice 7-string
2. A Bass VI
3. An actual bass (like 5-string something)

I suck at bass, that's why Bass VI might be a good choice - more guitar-like string spacing etc. Then again, when I look at this freaking beauty, I completely lose my mind:

Decision has been made. I got the Schecter 7-string! :)

It plays like a beast!

Decisions...do I get this in the six or seven?
I ordered the six....but I could be swayed...

Those are freakin awesome chunks of wood. I can barely play 6 strings, but keep wondering when I will try a 7 myself. I've got plenty of 6 strings ..

A fanned fret 7-string might be interesting.

But those are some funky pickup angles. :D

I got this in the summer but wanted to wait until I made all the necessary upgrades.

I upgraded the Tuners to Vanson Locking tuners, they're very stable but I did notice they add a slight bit of neck dive, only when sitting but it's not too bad.

I fitted it with a Seymour Duncan pegasus sentient set of pups which made a massive difference. The Sentient cleans up real nice & the Pegasus has a lot of clarity & tightness but it's not an extremely hot pickup, it's a pretty diverse pickup but a little on the darkside, so I need to boost the treble & presence on my 5150 III a bit.

This is my 1st 7 string & PRS for that matter, it's just so nice & easy to play even for my 1st 7 string, it's just comfy. I thought I'd be thrown a bit by the glossy neck but I got used to it in no time at all.
