Yes please, because there is no further info on your page.

And price/deal balance is an important factor here.

Okay, back again with correct info (straight from our press release ;) )

Multipass will be sold pre-bundled with 5 free snapins; Chorus, Delay, Gain, Limiter and Stereo. It will cost $99 / €89.

Chorus, Delay, Gain, Limiter and Stereo can be downloaded individually, or in a separate bundle, through kilohearts.com for free.

The following snapins: Bitcrush, Comb filter, Compressor, Distortion, Filter, Formant Filter, Frequency shifter, Haas, Phaser, Pitch shifter, Resonator and Trance gate, will be priced at $19 / €17 each.

A bundle including Multipass as well as all 17 snapins will be available and priced at $249 / €219. That is a $78 / €74 mark-down as opposed to buying each product separately. This bundle will also have a discounted limited time release offer, priced at $199 / €179.

For users interested in acquiring only the snapins there will be a bundle of all 17 snapins that are available at release for $179 / €159. That is a $49 / €45 mark-down as opposed to buying each product separately.

All snapins work as regular standalone plugins as well.

Sounds very promising. I always have to do this by hand in Live using racks. Works flawlessly though, up to 6 bands. But it takes up way more time.

The workflow in Multipass is just amazing.

So why don't you save the rack then ?

Sorry - I just lost major interest due to the price/deal.
Why?

FX Pansion asks for merely 79EUR in direct comparison, and comes with a similar setup to the "Pre-bundled" version.

Blue-Cat Audio's MB-7 is bare for 99EUR (excl. VAT), but it comes with 7 bands and is open to custom plugins. Get something like Melda Production's Free/pro set, and you're set for quite a while.

Speaking of Melda Production, there is still MXXX Core planned to be released.

And if we go modular, then we can take a closer look at MuTools. Or the (is it still free?) Image Line Minihost Modular.

These are only a couple of examples!
I didn't even talk about plugin suites priced between 79USD to 150USD yet.

Don't get me wrong - I admire the effort. But the advertising was definitely misleading. I expected a full 17 module bundle for 100USD (EDIT: maybe 150USD tops). And in this case, compared to the competition, I would have jumped on it instantly.

Instead the future of software products seems to be "buy extra and extra". In this example, we get 5 "freeware modules" on top of just the shell (Custom Shop!) unless you shell out more. I slowly get the feeling, that we only get the "core product" sold and have to constantly get DLC's if we really want to get the whole experience or even get somewhere. (not just for this product - the whole industry is going that route recently).

Custom Shops, Subscription Plans, Add-Ons released in a 2-4 week cycle, etc. I feel like using an Android AppStore or iOS App Store. Only that this is the audio realm. Do we really(?!) want that in the future?!

I mean, look at the pre-loaded version! Chorus, Delay, Gain, Limiter, Stereo tool - again, freeware plugins. Well, cool - I can create similar in Cubase's with an AUX/Group array, a suite of free plugins or what's host bundled an just a couple of mouse clicks. Even more streamlined with MUX (incl. Custom Control Panel). Granted, and this is the main selling point for such tools(!!!), it's not as nice looking and not as intuitive to use. But I paid a lot less and I don't need to start "collecting modules".

Though maybe, this is just the AE in me speaking, that just realized:
"looks good on paper, but you just got fooled by excellent marketing."

If I have the money, and it's on sale(!) - then maybe.
But for the time being, I'll just sit back and watch into what this thing develops.

YMMV.

I agree 1000% with Compyfox in this: The price is totally insane even as intro and the idea of additional modules for buying with only 5 as a "core" cooled down my gas to exactly -18 degree (not the worst thing btw). :D

Wish them good luck with this! They will need it..

"Not sure if..." moment here, or are you actually serious?

Just checking to be sure.

EDIT:
Nevermind - the follow up comments are on the same level. So it was meant seriously.

What a huge fail, $100 with all built in FX is right on the edge of value for money, any more and it would be overpriced, but $100 + trying to create a recurring never ending $20 add on eco system, seriously ?
A bit of advice for you, if you want to create a closed recurring $20 add on eco system (this doesnt load VST right ? ) then release the hosting system for free
Duh

Post

$100 is steep as it is. But $19 'per' after paying a base price of $100? So $200+....Yikes...

Post

way too expensive , you can make multiple copies of track and put different vst on those and filter out what you want.Or use send fx and filter every send as you like. Its easier in one plugin but then again you can use any vst if you use track copies or sends.

Post

I have to admit that I was interested too until I saw the price tag.

It will be the first Kilohearts vst release That I have to pass on.

Post

Ironically with that pricing structure kilohearts has created something many will pass on or in other words a multi pass!!!
:?
All interest lost here to. Hope they rethink their pricing!

I had a chance to check out Multipass and I have to say it is really good. Great workflow and easy to use even though you can create some really complex effects.
I have all snap ins, and I too hope that kilohearts will change the price and/or bundling options.
While I understand it makes sense to sell snap ins individually since they can also be used as regular plugins, I think Multipass is best bundled with all snap ins and at a lower price point I am pretty sure it will be much more succesful.

The concept and execution of Multipass is great and it would be a total shame if it would fail because of the pricing policy.

I think that I too am out at this price, unfortunately.(I might have gone to $150 with all Snapins included.. hopefully with a promo discount on that ;) )
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.
