Here it is, looks pretty believable for me:

looks alot like push 1 ? updated display and seemingly sacrificing one or two rows of buttons at the top...

i guess the significant differences will be more about how it functions, rather than how it looks... ?

also, i'm guessing it's launch will coincide with a live 9 sale and/or a live 10 announcement. or some such.

Daags, most think LIVE10(AbleTen) is a year away

well, I'm sure it was supposed to be a secret, but hey, it was mentioned elsewhere but rumour has it 10 will be available by Christmas.

I'll be surprised if it isn't mentioned at least once at this current Ableton shindig in Berlin, to be honest.

Re: Push 2 - yup, that's what I'd do if I was going to reinvent the thing. Shame I have a push one, but I don't much use samples anyway. Sure there are a zillion other new features, though.

Post

Push has been out of stock on the Ableton website for about a month now, so this makes a lot of sense.

reddit post with some info from a guy "in the industry". apparently it's $799 and may include an audio interface.

Well last month or two someone at Ableton forum mentioned something about Ableton inviting producers to try new Push v2 or something like that so this is not new for me.

However i never expected display on it. I guess it's more oriented toward live djing not just producing...

They kept the knobs love the screen? d'oh! Doesn't it make more sense to have them below the screen so your hands don't cover the screen?

The main thing I am hoping they do is a left/right expression on the pads so that you can do vibrato per note manually.

Also, Push is damn heavy. They should be able to lighten that thing up.

Yes you are right...let us hope that this is bad mock up or something...

Post

Someone just deleted my thread at ableton forum (within 5 minutes of existence) where i posted this same photo - so i am guessing this photo is actually real (sadly).

How in the world they overlooked that part about hands covering screen?

theres no knobs there

along the top... but they fade due to picture quality. you can see them on the left top.

That looks about right. Its the obvious answer to Maschine, with the display addressing some of the shortcomings in the first version. I can't really see selling my Push v1 at a substantial loss and then buying this, so I guess I'll stick with what I've got. At this point, I'm more interested in a Roli Seaboard or Linnstrument anyway. But yeah, I'm sure it will be awesome!
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Button texts are much more visible than in current Push.
A big improvement.
