Hello @ all, my name is Jens and I am the guitar player of the band Zone X - actually it's more like a project than a band because there's only two of us - Andreas is singing and doing the drum-programming and some of the other programming and I am doing the rest (which is mainly tormenting the strings of my guitars )

This tune is actually quite old (2001) - it is the first thing we ever composed as Zone X and also the first thing we've ever recorded on pc. - from todays view I think it is a little overproduced and a bit too much sounding like pop-music - usually we're more edgy&noisy sounding - but I like it nonetheless because I think it still sounds basically like what it is: a jam from the rehearsal-room :D
no space between

p.s.: you should listen to it with the volume turned up

Zone X, welcome to k-v-r.

Superb stuff, I really like this song. Sounds like a Super Furry Animals song (especially the vocals).

I think the vocals need a little more reverb to blend a bit better. Actually I'm not sure about the reverb on the guitars either... slightly to slappy for my liking. I love the guitar noise that starts at 1:10. I think the drums could be a bit dirtier too. But I am listening on shitty 2pound headphones at work at the moment, so these comments might be crap!

But overall, great stuff.. :D

Welcome to KvR :)

This is not bad at all. Maybe not something I'd listen to often, but I can surely hear potential here and some good song-building. I'd be interested to hear where you are today in music making.

thanks guys :)

mhm Super Furry Animals - what a nice compliment :D

I'd be interested to hear where you are today in music making.
I'll post a brand new tune within the next one or two days - but here is a little teaser for another new track we're working on (mind you, this is totally unproduced, there are no vocals and the drums haven't yet really been programmed (there's only some simple hits&bits for orientation)

thin :o
