I'm looking for a whistle sample. You would think it would be easy to find a whistle sample, but it's not. I'm talking about a samba whistle, very similiar to a referee's whistle. Also, any samba instrument samples would be awesome if you know where to find them, particularly repiniques and caixas.
Thanks in advance!

thanks for the links, but not exactly what I'm looking for. All the whistle samples I find, when I actually find them, are very short. I'm looking for a good sustained whistle (1-2secs.).

Man, this is just getting ridiculous...
Some people are gonna suggest you wait for the Garritan Personal Whistle sample collection to be released (over 1.8 Gb of keymapped velocity layered whistle samples); others will fire up synthedit and piece together WhistlezzVSTi, or lament that the Korg WhistleStation is out of production.
Here's a suggestion:
Buy a freakin' whistle. Blow it into a microphone.

It just kinda blows my mind that I can find samples of rare and exotic instruments from around the world, but I can't find a simple whistle sample. If I end up buying a whistle then I'll make sure to release the samples so all you whistle-hungry folks can...well...whistle

I Agree! buy a wistle and record yourself blowing it, (the whistle) then make a soundfont of it and post it here at KvR.
