Yeah... Pricing seems a bit odd. I don't like the idea of having to buy bog standard 'snapsons' or whatever they are called like Bit Crusher, Distortion, etc.
This would appeal to me if it was a bit cheaper - I mean, I've got a billion effects already.
I'll check out the demo too look at their delivery platform.

I do, i have about 10 now. But many times i want to do something different and then going from scratch is actually quicker instead of editing inside the rack.shroom81 wrote:So why don't you save the rack then ?zeep wrote:I always have to do this by hand in Live using racks. Works flawlessly though, up to 6 bands. But it takes up way more time.
For starters i mostly use two racks, one with 3 and one with 6 bands. And go from there.

Yeah, was my expectation too. Regarding the 50% sale, keep in mind that $199 actually IS the sale price right now - the retail price for the all-in-one bundle is around $315.TheoM wrote:$199 is a lot of money though, i expected more like $99 for the top bundle, $79 for limited and $49 for the multipass only. That said KHS have been known to do 50% sales which will put the prices right at those levels.

The thing is, that the "regular prices" are high. The concept in itself seems to be interesting and well designed, but the price politics are lacking behind.TheoM wrote:That said KHS have been known to do 50% sales which will put the prices right at those levels.
The competition doesn't sleep.

So this doesn't actually load plugins then?

If you asked 3rd party plugins nope and i'm pretty sure it never will for obvious reasons.aMUSEd wrote:So this doesn't actually load plugins then?

My interest crashed and burned with the release of pricing. Way, way too expensive. And, as a Canadian who has to add over 30% to these American prices because of the strength of the American dollar, the pricing is not anywhere near the ballpark I'm standing in. Too bad.

Why are you guys considering this plugin expensive, when something like soundtoys decapitator is $200?
please respond, I am not being sarcastic, i am a beginner and very curious!
I tried this plugin demo, and it was beyond fun!

Because usually you wouldn't buy a single plugin for $200 when you can get all 18 soundtoys plugins for $495 or less during sales. With the usual discount of retailers something around $420 atm without any sale comes down to something around $23 for a plugin and we talking about widely respected and used ST.shonoob wrote:Why are you guys considering this plugin expensive, when something like soundtoys decapitator is $200?

Now have this Kilohearts small funny plugins for $19 and SoundToys professional range plugins for $23..
Nobody said that the Multipass is useless but for that price it isn't worth to buy for many. If you follow this thread you will find a few arguments why some didn't want to buy it (yet).
The good thing is you can try out the demo and decide for yourself but in my opinion they are overpriced for what they do (Multipass only can handle their own format snapins) and most here already have many stock plugins inside their DAWs and 3rd party plugins which go far beyond anything so therefore..

Really really really interesting plug-in. Congrats kiloHearts on a brilliant concept!
Unfortunately I too have to join in the price-is-too-high-choir.
In a way I completely understand the pricing model, business-wise.
But then again I kind of don't because kiloHearts indeed is a small (but quality!) developer facing quite a lot of competition.
Sure I believe the workflow in Multipass will make it a wonderful sound design tool, but there really isn't anything here that I can not already do in my DAW.
For the sake of the excellent concept of this plugin, I hope you guys rethink the pricing model.
Maybe if the base price was lower, or there would be more snap-ins included initially I'd be closer to a purchase.
Whatever you choose to do with the pricing, I wish you good luck kiloHearts!

I downloaded Faturator and Disperser demo, installed them but they freeze my DAW (FL Studio – 32Bit, Win8). I try to reinstal them, but it’s still the same. New installer sucks!
