What would you like to see in Reason 9?

I absolutely love Reason. I'm still on 6.5 because there are a few things I'm waiting on
Poly CVs and Pitch Bends Per Note "allows for polyphonic sequencing via CV/GATE without having to use a CV pair for each voice (for instance)."
Something just like Ezdrummer or Addictive Drums. Multi sampled drum hits. basically all the features you get with ezdrummer. so a ezdrummer RE would make me upgrade in a second.
Another update on the zoom MIDI feature. they made the zooming for editing clips easier but I'd Really like to have it where you can go almost full screen when looking at midi clips like ableton does.
Skinning option so I can use the version 6 look.. which I much prefer.
Allow midi to be imported on a selected track. been asking for a few of these since version 5!
Why do we have to create another track then drag the midi to the selected track then delete the new useless track every single time.
Imagine having a ezdrummer or addictive drums re and dragging midi clips from ezdrummer or addictive drums on to the track the they are on and reason creating a new track each time lol.
Can you audition midi on a selected track/instrument in 8? if not.. this is another must have option.
I think that is it for me though. not too much. I really love everything else about Reason.
what would you like to see?
one more thing that is a must have for me is a MIDI guitar RE from Jam Origin
EDIT!!!!!!!
and one of the most important! print midi data from RE!! for when you are using something like Euclid! MUST HAVE UPDATE

Nothing. I am still on 6.5 as well and with the direction that reason is going in and the features that are already present compared to other daws of which I own several, I don't see myself upgrading until 6.5 becomes incompatible with whatever operating system I upgrade to.

There's a lot I love about Reason 7 but Props have gone in a completely different direction (pretty good DAW with paid add-ons) than I would have liked (most cutting-edge versatile/stable/low-CPU all-in-one virtual instrument suite anywhere).
- A bunch of new instruments included in the purchase price (additive, granular, user wavetable).
- Moving Blocks in direction of Ableton/Bitwig session view.
- Scripting

piano roll of FL Studio (or Sonar, or ...) , Reason would be absolutely brilliant with a comfortable piano roll
acting as ReWire master for the VSTs

Still on 6.5, unless they add some new substantial instrument upgrades/new instruments or huge effect updates will probably just stay on 6.5. I use other DAWS so don't really need the features they have been adding so far.

Midi out in the essentials version
I can see why they removed a few things from the fullversion in the Essential version.
But removing the midi out rack module was a stupid move in my view.
Many people say get the fullversion instead but i don't need that since i am covered with re's and Now it cost almost the same to upgrade from essential 8 to full as it would be to buy it new.
Others say i should use rewire but i am not interested in getting back to year 2000 where i can only use 1 core on my cpu in reason.(Rewire is not multithread supported so it only uses 1 core in rewire mode).
If they don't like the essential version buyers they should remove it.

Reason is still a good tool and many people use it as their only daw. No daw is as rock solid in relation to not crashing in the middle of a session. But since I have a number of other daws with a lot more features, I just use reason for it's synth.

I'd like them to:
• enlarge their device graphics so they're readable on high resolution (especially high-PPI) displays.
• undo the flat fad following in the rest of the interface.
I bought version 7 for external MIDI, but version 8 was utterly pointless.

I would like to see them enlarge their device graphics as well.

Overall this isolation of Reason makes it very difficult for me to commit to it as my only DAW

But you don't have to. ReWire is your friend.cocoazenith wrote:Overall this isolation of Reason makes it very difficult for me to commit to it as my only DAW

I'm not a fan of rewire. At all

How about a combinator vst player. Any Reason Combinator instrument could be used in most any DAW.

Make the rack hi-res, and/or some sort of device zoom, it's about time imho.
Reason as ReWire Master.
After that I don't know. The stuff I want is more related to the SDK/RE side than Reason itself.
Ability to load samples into RE's
Ability to copy pattern to track from RE's
Some more stuff like dynamic panels/tabs or what you want to call it. When an RE can look like Thor or Kong (with those swappable panels), then we've come a long way (in relation to the otherwise restricted rack format).

Oh golly, definitely a much better piano roll. I really like MuLab's. Other guys say Fruity...sure, JUST IMPROVE IT !!! More colours, bigger notes...(I love how in MuLab you can adjust the contrast of the lanes, and change the colours!)
Also better graphics all the way around. Alot of solid suggestions here so far.
