I was trying to get Simons' Ambient Strings to stay somewhere convenient on the right pane so that I wouldn't need to drill down to it every time I want to load something. I tried setting the path and making it recursive (all three options, actually), but it won't stick. I know why it doesn't appear on soundsets (I think)- It's not a UFS file. No worries there. Guess I'll rtfm and figure how to get it into "Places" and dump the other random stuff that got there by default...
I knew that learning to read would pay off some day. :dog: :D
Places is your friend here, just right click on a location ones you have located it and it will get added to your favorite places.
As mentioned yesterday in this thread, there is an issue in one of the Ambient Strings patches -> EG Dark Layers, it uses a single cycle waveform in the WT synth which Falcon can't read for some ominous reason (but works fine in MachFive), the devs will be looking at this issue on Monday, until then I can set you up with a fixed patch which uses a different single cycle (which actually sounds better), just contact me via patchpool.

Wow. That was easy. Thanks for that (and for creating Ambient Strings, and Granular Guitars, and...and..).

I'll worry about the patch issue another time. Duly noted though.

I'm going to get on board on this one. Problem is I've got several gear related addictions, gardening, photography, music and woodworking/painting, so it's going to be a squeeze, I need to buy for the garden, tulip bulbs for almost the same price as the Falcon....

Nice job UVI, I am a Mach V 3 owner and after experiencing it's slow update speed understand that it was time for UVI to move forward and future proof the software, if Motu doesn't want to make that possible (economically attractive), then you had to move forward... IMO Falcon is offered at a very fair introductory price point. If there is an additional upgrade rebate for Motu Mach V 3 owners it will be very generous indeed..

If my funds don't come in for some job outlays, I may miss the introductory price but even at normal pricing the The Falcon isn't out of reach for me, so I will get it either now or later..

waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

No and that's what finally made me move to an all 64-bit setup.

They tend to have sales like most companies...and most likely will be available in Marketplace eventually..

Oh yes those sales, but not for their core technologies, so the hope is that they will offer an upgrade price for Mach V 3 users. I'd say $240 might take most of the sting out of having to rebuy about 70% of the technology I already have in the existing version of Mach V. But like I said before, I can afford it at full price even, just now it's a squeeze..

I guess the answer will be "no" but is there any way to pack programs into an ufs file?

Post

I saw somewhere in the threads a feature request for an xy pad.

+1 to be able to morph between parts/layers or multiple parts/layers (Assignable)

2 layers: one with the granular OSC and the second with the Analog OSC.
Not the best performance but I still kept the first take.
Make sure you can listen to the low end.

That sounds amazing and exact reason I bought this instrument. It's really easy to program once you get your head around how the structure works.

Wait. What ?? No 32bit ? I not believe in it. Damn. I've already started to save up money for buy.
No, seriously, maybe you're just not aware of? :(
Would like to hear the answer from the support. Maybe then the 32-bit version is planned?

It has been answered in this thread, contact UVI, sign an NDA, pay for a license, pack your ufs, get rich or poor.

32 bit is a dead dodo my friend, you are going to see more and more 64 bit only in 2016.... There realy ding a reason not to go 64 bit now, and a lot of advantages,...

Personally, I remember when everything was 8 bit....things move on!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Thanks Simon. I was hoping for a more open system like Reason's rfl. But since ufs files are tied to the iLok authorizatino, it's more like encrypted .nkis.

I just really love some old plug-ins (among which there are unique, without replacement in modern), and do not like any kind of 32>64 bridges.

Try FL Studio 12 demo if you don't have it. ILBridge loads my 32 bit plugins automatically.
When I rewire FL into Studio One, I have best of both worlds.
