What ? This type is also possible? From 64 to 32 ? No, I seriously the first time I hear about it. Useful stuff this JBridge.
And what about midi learn for example, all the same ? This "shell" will not interfere?

Post

Anyone else with Studio One 3, running into problems with Falcon?

With the interface open in S1, even playing the most basic patch reports massive CPU useage inside the DAW. In fact, even turning off OSC's and just making Falcon do some graphical stuff without sound brings S1 to its knees. As long as the interface is closed, no problem at all.

I've made a ticket to support, but it seems they're real busy right now.

Sure is possible. Bridging is essentially running a separate process then using IPC (inter-process communication) to communicate with the host. So it goes both ways.

2 layers: one with the granular OSC and the second with the Analog OSC.
Not the best performance but I still kept the first take.
Make sure you can listen to the low end.

That sounds amazing and exact reason I bought this instrument. It's really easy to program once you get your head around how the structure works.
Thanks!

It has been answered in this thread, contact UVI, sign an NDA, pay for a license, pack your ufs, get rich or poor.
Thanks Simon. I was hoping for a more open system like Reason's rfl. But since ufs files are tied to the iLok authorizatino, it's more like encrypted .nkis.
ufs-licensing is actually licensing their UVI workstation which is an equivalent to Kontakt player or the former Alchemy player, so you pay a license to get access to more people who can't afford or don't want to use the full version of a given plugin, as they only need a preset player.

Is anyone using Falcon on a Macbook Pro retina with Logic? Some plug-ins have problems when open the UI and cpu spikes etc. I´m going to decide if i buy it (or not) today.
And it would be interesting to know in general if i could create really complex multis on a haswell i7 2.0 quadcore cpu with 8 GB ram. I know it´s more than the minimum needed to run it but with such a tool i want to get huge (means kind like huge Omnisphere 2 multis or several instances of Dune 2 and Alchemy 2).
Sorry to bother people with this questions but without demo i can´t imagine if this works out for me.

Hm thank, interesting. Well, anyway, i do not even know. News about the lack of a 32-bit version trow down me to stupor and to a variety of strange seditious ideas, like buy something else. But will watch, I do not know what to say.Not a good day.

1. When using the different Beat Box kits in UVI Workstation, is it possible to assign a different audio out to each sound? (For example, I like to send kicks to one output, snares to another, etc.)

(otristan)
to do this on premade kit, you will need to use MachFive 3

Is it possible, use with Falcon?

Post

I really want to play with this but need to wait now till I know what the situation is as a recent MachFive owner.

No and that's what finally made me move to an all 64-bit setup.
Wait. What ?? No 32bit ? I not believe in it. Damn. I've already started to save up money for buy.
No, seriously, maybe you're just not aware of? :(
Would like to hear the answer from the support. Maybe then the 32-bit version is planned?
There is no 32bits version on either Mac and PC.
In 32bits you can access so few RAM than honestly it's really time to move on especially
now that they are some bridges for very old plugin.

Please let me know what is dragging you to keep using 32bits version.

Are you on Mac or PC ?

In both case, if you want to lower the graphical usage, you can try using the OpenGL renderer
available from the main preferences.
Please note that on PC, I strongly suggest you to update your graphic card drivers to get the latest.

AFAIK, this is what Simon does. (although he is using a mac pro)

I am running S1 3.1 and Falcon with no issues. Take a typical patch - Tangerine Split (noodle city!) I run at around 10% which seems pretty good to me.

I am Windows 10, 64 Bit i7 (3.6Gz, 16M RAM)
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Yes, OpenGL-mode fixes the flickering issues, Falcon has been behaving fine since this was implemented - on both my Retina displays.
