Try the other envelope, it goes down to 1 nano, it can't get snappier than that plus you can edit the slopes as you like. The new analog ADSR introduced in Falcon which defaults to an init patch is - well - an analog model.Cinebient wrote:I don´t mean it is bad in this terms but f.e. Dune 2 is far far beyond here. I tryed to recreate a similar effect but the envelopes seems not fast enough for extremly fast filter changes etc.Sampleconstruct wrote:Naa, try again - low end and “bite“ is fine, its a very neutral engine, you decide how it sounds, not the engine.Cinebient wrote:From my first experiences the low end and general "bite" lacks a bit.
Of course it is another tool and i will try to achieve that.... so it might be a user fault here and i didn´t do it right. I wish i could play with this the whole night now. It´s really an awesome sound design tool![]()
It could indeed go to my NR.1 when i once get used to it and put Alchemy 2 and Dune 2 back to my Nr.2. At least i already like it more than Omnisphere 2 (beside that Omnisphere has the best sound sources included) and that means something.
But it´s of course all a matter of taste!

The non-broken links in places can be removed by rightclick.aMUSEd wrote:Adding is easy, but how do you remove them then? I tried rightclicking, pressing backspace, function/backspace (del) but nothing works. Same in prefs where you set folder paths, I can add more but can't delete any.Sampleconstruct wrote:Adding/removing places works perfectly fine here on my MacPro.aMUSEd wrote:Hope this works better than in MachFive - you can add places but can't remove them again.ThomasHelzle wrote:For me things I put in Places only work once, when I next start Falcon the things I put there are generic icons that no longer work (Windows 8.1 x64). I was trying to get Simons' Ambient Strings to stay somewhere convenient on the right pane so that I wouldn't need to drill down to it every time I want to load something. I tried setting the path and making it recursive (all three options, actually), but it won't stick. I know why it doesn't appear on soundsets (I think)- It's not a UFS file. No worries there. Guess I'll rtfm and figure how to get it into "Places" and dump the other random stuff that got there by default...
I knew that learning to read would pay off some day.![]()

The broken links (created from places) can be removed when you first select the broken location via the three horizontal lines-icon browser dropdown on top. Once there (empty window) you can right-click on the three horizontal lines and get the remove option.
At least thats how it worked on Windows 8.1 for me.
Cheers,
Tom

Authorization question. (Not a rant.)
Does anyone know:
Would the MachFive3 requirement for an ilok dongle extend to using its instruments and soundbanks in Falcon?
Falcon allows (ilok) authorization to the hard drive, and since I've had headaches with the dongle I would love to toss it. (M5 is the only thing I have that requires the dongle, and I have another UVI product authorized to my hard drive already.) So I'm just wondering whether I'd be able to use those M5 instruments and soundbanks in Falcon if I remove the dongle.
Any idea?

changing values at knobs i dont like, especially the COARSE/TUNE knobs. they should go in 1 steps and not 0,13 or whatever. those tiny steps should be used when holding a button but not while using only the mouse.

Does it matter if it's 25 or 0,25? Double click on a knob or slider and type in the value, much faster, more accurate too.Caine123 wrote:changing values at knobs i dont like, especially the COARSE/TUNE knobs. they should go in 1 steps and not 0,13 or whatever. those tiny steps should be used when holding a button but not while using only the mouse.

That's a JUCE-related problem on Windows regarding mousewheel, unfortunately.

I'd also like to see this fixed...
Double-click then typing isn't actually faster when you have one hand on your MIDI controller and tweaking the patch with the other hand. You then need to double-click, move the hand to keyboard, type, then press enter. Mousewheel - the change simply happens right away. If only steps were more predictable. However, JUCE is at fault here...
If Caine wasn't talking about this, my apologies. But it's one of things that irk me with all plugins that use JUCE for GUI, unless developers made their own mousewheel handling (which I didn't see happen yet)...

first synth so far which behaves so bad like this. small thing which isnt well for workflow... sometimes i wanna try fast changing semitones and not always wanna type this crap with double clicking.
Kontakt, most Synth VSTs etc. all g steps by 1 Value and not 0,14 or whatever.

Mentioned it before but thought I show a screenshot of a FLAC multichannel sample drag-and-dropped in Falcon:

Now I just need that manual surround switch

Authorisation for M5 soundbank should be on the iLok as well. This is related to the product setting which in the case of M5 is iLok dongle only.Apostrophe wrote:Authorization question. (Not a rant.)

Because this synth is so complex, is there anywhere in a program or multi to include performance notes like you can do in Zebra 2 and most U-he synths, just to name a few. Would really help, especially if you're releasing a library with programs containing numerous modulations via mod wheel or sliders.
