That was widely requested feature!New sampling workflow: chop, play, and manipulate your samples directly with Push
I wish I had it too, but I'll have to stay with Push 1 for now

Thanks for the news and pics
It would be cool if besides displaying colored waveforms, the new screen could also display things like clip names etc.!
Would also like to know what 8 very precise sensitive encoders to control the mixer means because I find the ones on Push1 already quite precise and sensitive (compared to other midi controllers I've owned

I knew it was prudent to skip the first generation of Push : ) ... now I'll wait a few months until a few thousand of these have sold, and any manufacturing niggles or gremlins are spotted and addressed...and then maybe wait until it goes on sale.
Ah yes, life off the bleeding edge is grand : )

So will it have the same issues with aftertouch?Daags wrote: - 64 backlit pads with exceptional touch sensitivity

I have no idea. I'm going for a shvitz with Bob Henke later, I'll be sure to ask him and have my PA get back to you about it after she's cleaned the dog muck off my golf shoes.

Curious, what issues? I know there was an issue before but 9.1 or 9.2 introduced a treshold for the aftertouch which solved most of that... Or so I thought.aMUSEd wrote:So will it have the same issues with aftertouch?Daags wrote: - 64 backlit pads with exceptional touch sensitivity
Anyway, it's working pretty good for me, but I'm not really an aftertouch poweruser, so it wouldn't surprise me if I'm missing something.

Congrats to them.
Things that will scare me away in the future:
-When I bought push 1, it was great. Then the development basically just stopped. I don't want to go through that again as obviously it will take a while to figure out what people want (even though they've been saying it for about 3 years
)
-Am I missing something about the audio? I need better audio editing/comping and features like that. Showing a better wav form with the remedial audio editing means nothing to me personally.
-Did they ever fix M4L, or does it still crash CONSTANTLY for about 60% of the users?
Overall my live experience was quite good despite what looks like complaining. I just didn't understand why it wasn't being dealt with. Since then though, 9.2 came out (and dealt mostly with latency) and now here come 9.5 which apparently will be a free update?
Seems like good times for live users (sans having to scratch the cash for a new push 2

M4L is stable it's just many of the third party M4L device makers don't update their plugins for the Live 9 version.
Cytomic has added new analog modelled filters to Live 9.5 this is more like a new Ableton release than an update.

do your arms protrude from your stomach or something ?cocoazenith wrote:Still can't believe those encoders are above the screen
because generally your arms will extend to the side, and then your hands will come in towards the knobs from the outside left or right ... so obstruction isn't nearly as bad as some are making out ?

Yeah..........that wasn't my experience. Unless you are referring to the convo verb being 3rd party. It was a horrible experience (9.1x and back) and crashed CONSTANTLY. If it was just me, I'd not have said anything but so many people complained about it.Jax Pok wrote:M4L is stable it's just many of the third party M4L device makers don't update their plugins for the Live 9 version.
