Don't think there's a way to do that unfortunately.

The broken links (created from places) can be removed when you first select the broken location via the three horizontal lines-icon browser dropdown on top. Once there (empty window) you can right-click on the three horizontal lines and get the remove option.
At least thats how it worked on Windows 8.1 for me.

Cheers,

Tom
Doesn't work in the MachFive browser

Discovered something interesting about the file structure.

I setup my patches in My Documents. Didn't think it really mattered where I put them. Under the main folder I put ARPs, Leads, Pads, etc and even created a folder for any samples I used.

When I went to reload an old page I had done to paste in the program notes, I noticed that Falcon won't let me go to My Documents. It shows my C drive as well as my 2 external Western Digital Drives (E and F) but will not let me navigate to My Documents.

So I guess I am going to have to move everything to my C drive in order to load patches, at least until I can create a UFS file after I get my licensing. Oh, by the way, still waiting for a response on that. I hope I sent my support ticket into the right department.

Anyway, just a heads up to anybody setting up their patch system on Windows. If you put it in My Documents, you won't be able to retrieve them.

Must be the same issue in Places where folder alias becomes a file alias.

Opening stuff from My Documents works just fine here.

So then when you go to Devices at the far right, in addition to seeing C Drive, you also see My Documents?

Post

Oh that. No, I don't see My Documents there at all. Weird that it happens for you. It's supposed to only show hard drives in Devices.

Okay, I figured it out. Falcon displays Windows file structure differently than most programs that will actually show My Documents above C Drive.

What you have to do (windows users) is go to Load Program and then when you go to your C Drive, look for Users. Under there you will find Public and/or User, however you have your PC setup. From there, you will then see everything in My Documents.

It's kind of a round about way of doing things and takes a few more steps, but yes, you can find your patches if you put them in My Documents.

...from there you can right click My Documents and have it favourited in Places. But IIRC there should be My Documents there by default.

So does this have a manual (unlike MachFive)?

Post

Yeah, PDF, it's on Falcon product page.

But it's definitely not as extensible as MF3 (paper) manual was.

Better than nothing though.

For sure! Also better than being far too wordy. People have very short attention spans today. Unfortunately.

Will try that, thanks! Is there also a way to get faster than a 20 hz LFO (Dune f.e. can get 250 hz and the king is Tera 3 with over 700 hz i think). I use it not so often but for some effects it works great.
Well, i will try tomorrow. But since Falcon can´t modulate at audio rate i don´t think it could work?!?
Edit: I think the way to go for fast and slow things is the multi envelope then. O.K. i got it.
You can go into the 1000 Hz range with the multi envelope (and draw strange, multi-segment LFO shapes as well), just zoom in really close to edit your shape and set the loop length, then you can also apply modulation to the speed with e.g. key follow or linear key follow, the latter set to 50% will result in chromatic changes of multi envelope speed. linear key follow set to 50% is also the thing you'll need when using chromatically tuned bandpass or combfilters. It's all possible, just look for it...

Would really help, especially if you're releasing a library with programs containing numerous modulations via mod wheel or sliders.
No, there isn't.
So I guess we'd have to include our own program notes in some sort of text file so the user can best use each patch, correct?
Some do, others don't, as I'm a documentation nerd I always include a 20 page patchlist with my libs in PDF format.

I totally forgot about the info page on the Falcon front GUI, check out some of my Falcon factory patches (e.g. from the granular folder), hit the little i button at the top right of the interface, the info page opens which includes text info about each patch. I was just too tired to remember.
Thanks. That'll do it.

While I have you (really appreciate all this assistance) there's something I'd like to avoid if possible.

I just tried out the IRCAM Stretch. The sample I loaded in (basic wav file) obviously was not liked by the module for whatever reason. Maybe the quality. Maybe the length (under 1 second) I don't know.

Bottom line: My UR28M locked up and I had to shut down everything which caused Cubase to crash which forced me to reboot the PC because on crashing Cubase remains in Task Manager and because of that, it won't load properly upon trying to restart and Task Manager won't let me close the process.

So, is there a certain kind of wav file that you need to load as far as quality and/or length? Also, in creating my own samples, what do you recommend? I just want to make sure that what I load into the IRCAM Stretch, or any of the sample based modules, doesn't blow up my system.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.
I also had a crash today with IRCAM stretch in Logic 10.2 and filed a bug report.
IN general just use wav samples at your favorite format - mine is 48Kz/24 Bit, some use 44.1/24 Bit, some still use 44.1/16, others go for 96/24 (which increases download size drastically of course), some will use compressed FLAC, others MP3 (not advisable) some may even use cheese cake or chicken broth.

Thanks for answer with samples.

I have another question, on layer panel, is Unison Voices. I can set up 256 voices maximum. That would be big sound, but I dont know how to detune. It is possible detune this unison voices, and how?
