Only Bitwig 8T and u-he BeatZille Linux version.

The other stuff is only on the DVD, which is only with the printed mag.

good point.
everything is included in 8-Track; only the number vsts are restricted 2 2. quite generous and quite important to me. :D

again 9999 posts. :scared: i had already 9999 posts about 10 months ago. groundhog year? :help:

I guess Bitwig is already included in Bitwig 8T

One just need to buy the serial from Bitwig to unlock all the features.

Only 2 VSTi... Anyone tried loading a chainer? Like Dune BE + chorus + reverb or something?

Post

...is it possible to use multi-output VSTis with that version? And is their freezing working there, too? Does it support host automation? For starters, I would like to use it as a song-mode tool/tape machine for Maschine. Thanks!

Post

Is the VST limit 2 per track, or 2 per project?

I'm a noob in all this DAW matters, but looks like per project.
Loaded Synthmaster to tracks 1 & 2, then tried to add SynthmasterFX plugin to one of tracks and got a popup "Limitations Exceeded".
OTOH, in one track after the "external" VSTi You can add a whole chain of Bitwig internal effects.

Get yourself an BEAT "register account" here:

http://www.serialcenter.de/?t=start

or here:
http://www.serialcenter.de/

You'll get the serials for those apps via mail.

Then just got to bitwig.com and register the serial. That's it. No need for the mag itself.

But You should buy it, otherwise it's not fair :)
Btw, this 8-track is quite a good advertisement for full Bitwig Studio. Maybe better than their restricted demo-version.

Just noticed a "8-Track" menu option - it shows, if Your project still meets the criteria for this version or You shold buy an upgrade.

If it is a problem, it's up to Beat to do something about it.

They lurk the KVR forum, if they don't like it, they will ask the mods to remove it. It has happend before.

Is there a download link for the Beatzilla Windows version? And how do I go about buying the Beat magazine in the US?

If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Not as of yet, only the Linux version

You can order the printed version at http://www.falkemedia-shop.de/musik/beat.html
I usually add the pdf version too, it's only 1 EUR difference and I can read it later on laptop or tablet, too.
They have also previous issues, but some out of print ones only in pdf versions.

Looked some demos in B8T. All the drums can go to just one track, so it's not that bad to have 7 instrument sections available.

Also, the chainer works :tu: Just routed Dune BE through Kjaerhus Chorus, Reverb and Master Limiter.
For academic purposes, mostly :)
