Since I haven't seen it mentioned specifically, does anyone know if Push 2 can be used to add/remove/shift warp markers in a looping clip?

an interesting post on the ableton forum about this...
it does sound like this area is 'work in progress' which is great news... the save default config is really useful, but if I could name pages, this really would make me reach for the computer less.

one thing does 'disappoint' me, is PXT Live is not going to work on the Push 2...
and that adds a couple of features which I use alot... in particular the track settings like, where to get audio input from, or narrowing down midi input device etc. lots of little things that are not exposed by the push.
I assume these have not been added to the Push2 ? (e.g. can you select a midi input channel on the push 2?)

In a clip, no. You still have the same control offered previously in clip mode, which is Loop position, loop length, start offset.

In slice mode of Simpler, you can control the beginning/end points of each slice, but classic mode is much like clip mode.

anyone know if we can pre determine AUDIO clip lengths before recording in 9.5? without Push? Like how we can with midi clips?

I meant renaming the parameter pages, thats really unfortuntate. Ubermap has had this worked out hacker style for awhile but such a sloppy solution is really quite silly. hopefully ableton will enable plugin developers to make their own mappings, that would be ideal. I wouldn't hold your breath on workflow enhancements, at least until live 10 is released. ableton seem to do all their updating at once while incremental updates are used to fix bugs and add small features.

I'm glad you can finally preview sounds from the browser, that was a very annoying omission. if the browser is snappy enough and Ubermap ends up working with 9.5 I'll probably pick up a Push 2. I was going to get maschine due to the better browser but of course its better to have 1 controller than 2...

Great update. Loving the warping feature in simpler and the new filter models.

One question though - why in the f**k couldn't they implement warping in sampler?? Did i miss something? They make an effort and put the new filter models, great, but no warping in their flagship software sampler?!

That's just stupid, ableton.

I really wonder if serious musicians use ipad synthesizers for actual producing. I have an Ipad but using it as a sound source for music production? Nope. As a scratchpad on the road it might be useful but in the studio?
IMO the abes can join IK Multimedia in the mobile device crap corner. There are way bigger fish to fry than this.
