In MachFive we could only run filters in serial within a keygroup, now we can run them all in parallel and use modulators to change the filter balance, that's a great improvement.BRoySound wrote:Thanks Simon....I saw the effects Rack but never checked that out.......Falcon Surprises again...Sampleconstruct wrote:2 - you can use effect racks on keygroup level to run filters in parallel, then you can e.g. assign Macros to control the level of each involved filter.

Select the Layer in the tree view, so that the Keygroup section in the edit tab shows "multiple selection". Now show the FX section for the keygroup and add a filter: the filter will be added to all keygroups.putting Filter FX and Putting ADSR individually on each n every key groups becomes a tedious process.....
With the layer still selected, modulate the filter as desired: all filters will be modulated in all keygroups.

Batch-editing is possible for filter and envelopes and their modulators, but we can't batch edit keygroups on oscillator level, which is one of my biggest feature requests for the next step, although it seems impossible, as often as I've asked for this. HALion can do it, so there should be a way to add this to Falcon.

I tried that....Doesn't seem to work....Layer 1 has Keygroup 1 and Keygroup 2....I select Layer 1 in Tree view, I see the Multiple Selection, When I go to Effects tab and apply FX to Keygroup 1, the same doesn't apply to Keygroup 2.......I can Apply FX to Layer 1 though but then No ADSR Retrigger.......IIRs wrote:Select the Layer in the tree view, so that the Keygroup section in the edit tab shows "multiple selection". I think Simon was talking about Applying FX to the Batch/Multiple Selection.....tried that too, it's a Destructive process it seems, you can not edit or modulate the fx after applying it to the batch.......

Well as mentioned before, you can't use certain effects on keygroup level, like e.g. reverb, so in the FX rack on keygroup level, don't insert things like reverb or convolution, only filters, ring modulation, combfilters. You can also save an FX rack and then insert it from your user library.BRoySound wrote:I tried that....Doesn't seem to work....Layer 1 has Keygroup 1 and Keygroup 2....I select Layer 1 in Tree view, I see the Multiple Selection, When I go to Effects tab and apply FX to Keygroup 1, the same doesn't apply to Keygroup 2.......I can Apply FX to Layer 1 though but then No ADSR Retrigger.......IIRs wrote:Select the Layer in the tree view, so that the Keygroup section in the edit tab shows "multiple selection". There is also the list view which gives you a very accurate option to only select certain things from a patch.

Hi Olivier,
got my Falcon yesterday and have to say: Awesome!
One wish however: Could you make the engine multicore capable like Kontakt? That's important for large libraries with lots of EQs on single keygroups etc. Would be great!
Best,
Johannes

For any Falcon owners, I use RMX for drum programming. Can I import the MIDI file into the arpeggiator and have the events follow the MIDI and velocity timing? If not, can I write a script to do it instead, to then subsequently drive the arpeggiator?
It's probably a deal breaker if I cannot program the arpeggiator that way .. clearly Omnisphere and Trillian can do it, but I've found that Alchemy can do it as well. Hoping Falcon will join the family.

Uses Live 9 and lots of VSTs

FX rack on keygroup level may include Effect Rack. Its chain may include all effects, Sparkverb too. Thus keygroup envelopes (retrigger) can be used also for Sparkverb. Need to set the layer Custom Poly to 1 and some release on Amp.Env.

Ahh Yes.......Thank you So Much you guys......I wasn't doing that properly, Tried that with your video as tut, I see that I can now Simultaneously edit fx of multiple keygroups at once.....also the chain system in the Effects Rack is Awesome.........for now I'm Sorted, am a Happy Panda nowSampleconstruct wrote:Here is a quick and dirty demonstration on how to edit 2 keygroups simultaneously:

You can as well use keygroup duplicate and/or apply keygroup template which keeps modulation, but there is nothing that solves perfectly your issue in one click.bmanic wrote:Ugh.. another question: Is there a way to simply drag n drop / cut or paste an element from one keygroup to another? So I have this wavetable setup in keygroup 1 with some modulations and stuff but I created another keygroup and want to move the wavetable part to keygroup 2 without losing any of the modulation assignments. Surely this must be possible somehow? I tried dragging and dropping in the tree view but I can't do it. There's also no copy/cut/paste available. So far the workaround I've found is to save a preset and then reload that preset in a newly created wavetable osc in the other keygroup but this way I lose all the modulation I had assigned.

You cannot have partial use of the coupon but you can use it for a single purchase of multiple product.Hans25 wrote:Question about the voucher. Do you have to purchase for the whole amount or will you receive the difference in a new voucher? I want to buy Scratch Machine and that's $39.
