Ok. Thanks for the info. What if you want to use both $100 coupon at a single time? Is it possible to swap them. As far as I could see it was only possible to use 1 coupon at a time.otristan wrote:You cannot have partial use of the coupon but you can use it for a single purchase of multiple product.Hans25 wrote:Question about the voucher. Do you have to purchase for the whole amount or will you receive the difference in a new voucher? I want to buy Scratch Machine and that's $39.

In that case, you might want to use multiple oscillator instead of multiple keygroups.BRoySound wrote: 1 - As Pointed out in posts above, there's no retrigger with every note at layer/program level.....it's a big issue for me as I tend to layer a whole lot of sound and then use the Filter or Mods to shape that layered sound....Yes, I can layer at key group level, but with key group stacks you cannot pan or level or even change Coarse tune individually, you have to create a new key group.....and then I can put a Filter Fx on the layer level....but then I can't use ADSR on filter.....putting Filter FX and Putting ADSR individually on each n every key groups becomes a tedious process.....
Or just use multiple filter on each keygroup which uses the same envelope stored on the layer
Check out EffectRack for an easy Mix knob addition.BRoySound wrote: 2 - There should be Mix Knob for all the Fx especially for the filters, I like using Filter Stacks to tone the Sound, I tried using AUX for the Same...putting Vowel Filter on the AUX and Mixing with the Original, Works good but then again no Mod Retrigger With AUX Fx as well...
This one as IRCAM Stretch takes lots of CPU. It probably depends on your sample rate and buffer size.BRoySound wrote: 3 - Sudden CPU Spikes at every note trigger with the IRCAM Scrub even when limited to just 1 Voice....try modulating the Position knob, Scrubs well with Sustained note but CPU spikes with new note trigger...
Unfortunately this quality has a high price.
Please contact our support with those one.BRoySound wrote: There are a few bugs as well that needs to be ironed out, I'll point out some later.....but other than that I've been enjoying designing with it, and I can really go deep and enjoy to the max if that retrigger mod source is sorted out....for now I kinda layer sounds in Falcon and use Zebrify with external MIDI retrigger to do those sweet Filtered Plucky Sounds.....
It's easier to track than here at KvR.
Thanks !

Unfortunately, this is not a simple matter of programmingJoPiano wrote:Hi Olivier,
got my Falcon yesterday and have to say: Awesome!
One wish however: Could you make the engine multicore capable like Kontakt? That's important for large libraries with lots of EQs on single keygroups etc. Would be great!
Best,
Johannes
I'm afraid this won't happen anytime soon.
We do have some FX like the convolution reverb that uses multiple cores though.
Right now we advise to use multiple instances of Falcon when required/possible.

You should be able to use multiple coupon at the same time.Hans25 wrote:Ok. Thanks for the info. What if you want to use both $100 coupon at a single time? Is it possible to swap them. Have you tried entering one, then be able to enter another one ?
If this fails, please contact our support guy who should be able to sort you out.
Thanks !

If you need that many EQs per keygroup, you should probably apply them directly to the sample and re-render it.JoPiano wrote:lots of EQs on single keygroups
Or apply EQs at layer level, where they won't be instantiated per voice, but applied for all voices equally (much less CPU).

Not to derail the thread/focus, but I've contemplated doing likewise, for several years... initially only as a 'stand-alone' (device) for Metasynth, and the (former) Redmatica apps. That 'thought' resurfaced of late (albeit short lived) with the advent of what I was waiting/hoping for Alchemy to become on PC, being for the most part brilliantly 'realized'.bmanic wrote:Good point. I ended up buying a Mac Mini to be able to use it.EvilDragon wrote:Key difference this one used to be cross-platform before they went to the dark side...
The last Mac I had was exclusively for use with the Korg R&D software for their Oasys PCI cards (platform, development). With the introduction of Windows Xp, and my 3x Korg Oasys PCI cards *drivers* not updated for it, from Windows 98, that "platforms" potential lifespan began to fade.
[LSS] The Mac died, concurrent with Apple quitting support for outside vendors using the Apple OS on their devices ~ my budget and priorities could no longer "support" Apple, and I never looked back, until the appeal of Metasynth. All things considered, I've far too much cool shit (going well), with my studio/production set-up, and projects, to throw a potential wrench in it, by attempting to embrace Apple's ("upgrade") road-map and OS "anomalies", any more than I do Microsofts "innovations" that are not of specific interest/benefit to me. Particularly if/when, that innovation breaks my toys!
carry on.

Please send the crashlog to our support.Cinebient wrote:I have a lot crashs with some patches just running one instance. Logic closes and i have to restart it. Not sure if it´s Logic or Falcon here.
It's either displayed when it crashes or you can access older ones with the Console application
Open the Console from the Application->Utilities, you will see the log files (related to Logic it those has happened in Logic)
Thanks !

It doesn't sound like normal behaviour unless there's much more going on, can you reach our support (if you didn't already) http://www.uvi.net/contact-support it's much easier for us to keep track of each individual situation.Cinebient wrote:I tryed now to make some more complex patches but with just one wavetable unison and some modulations and FX i´m already over (even at 1024 sample rate). So i doubt i can use it really like i want.
However, it´s a great tool for sample manipulation and especially pads and soundscapes are great to achieve with this. But i think this is made for really powerful cpu´s
F.e. this here is eaten up already my CPU (i7 haswell 2.0 quadcore). It´s still a simpler patch and i play just 2-3 notes at the same time (polphony is set to 16). I just started...... but just hit the wall of (CPU) limits.
Can you also PM me the patch please so that I can have a look faster?

It's perfectly fine and recommended to create an envelope at the Program / Layer level in order to share common settings. So there's no reason to forbid that.EvilDragon wrote:Perhaps greyed out would be better (similarly to how Sparkverb and some other FX are greyed out at Keygroup level).
However we heard you and we will see what we can do to make trigger work for module parameters that are not polyphonic (added to our issue tracker).
BTW here's a tip that works for non-polyphonic parameters (but is not a replacement for note trigger) : the AnalogADSR has a manual trigger button. You can connect another modulation source to it (e.g. an LFO or a step envelope) to make it retrigger at the mod source rate like you would do with a modular synth. Very useful to create rhythmic patches.

Well... I got a message from the support guy yesterday saying it seems like I'm eligible for the upgrade. But I tried and couldn't get the discount. Wrote back immediately that I don't see the discount. Now I'm waiting for an answer...

O.k. i try look deeper and solve my cpu trouble... maybe i wasted resources somewhere hidden
If not i will send something to support. In the meantime i made a little electronic-hybrid soundtrack thing with a few instances (i had to bounce here).
So this is 100% Falcon. I mainly used my custom made patches and a few default which i tweaked a bit. Sorry if the mix sounds crap but i used 5 bucks headphones since i broke my last good ones
