Yeah, put in some serious filters and make them per voice (or at least selectable per voice), fix the modulation bugs, improve the effect routing...
Then work on the core of Iris: allow modulation of as many aspects of the graph as possible, have gradient selections not just hard ones, improve the looping, allow for more grain-cloud-like things, make Iris surround capable...

And get rid of the silly idea to sell Iris to EDM producers with dubstep wobbles. ;-)

Cheers,

Tom

And candy coloured guis with baby fonts.

If there was going to be a version 3, they would have supplied us with a hotfix until now. I'm pretty certain this has been it. I hope they'll prove me wrong...

I've been told a 10.11 Mac OS patch is in the works by year end.

Mostly I saw nothing in Iris 2 that interested me. I really liked iris, but the main issue was right away a lack of separate filters for each "oscillator" or sample. For the life of me why that didn't come in Iris 2 I can't figure? and I never bought the upgrade. :?

So Iris 2 is almost 1 year old now, to celebrate this, here is a freely downloadable patch, the download expires on November 20th, her actual birthday and the date when this not so amusing thread got posted.

Here is the download link:

And a little impro with this anniversary patch here:

this is why i dont support those crap companies anymore like Izotope with each release.

Iris 2 upgrade price is a slap in the face, v2 feels nothing like v2 and as expected (told you to wait and not buy this shit) that they give a damn about us/you asap! expect iris 3 soon ;D

Nobody knew at the time, but looking into the crystal ball of 2015 it certainly turned out different :D

I like Iris 2. But I never had Iris.

Indeed! I still don't see much that impresses me with Iris though, and certainly not the upgrade. For most people, Alchemy went away instead of getting better. So I guess the spectral resynthesis and sampling area is a little weak now. Harmor takes the cake for resynthesis and digital sample mangling I think, but no morphing or multi-samples. Maybe a combination of Harmor and the morph plug-in by zynaptiq and some granular stuff will fill the void. Iris sure as heck does not!

The same could be said for Iris. Iris 2 seems now to have been more of a prelude to abandoning the product altogether than a serious upgrade. They alienated everyone who had bought into Iris 1, just to make some futile and laughable attempt to get with the EDM crowd.

Agreed.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

Since I'm late getting onboard, I'm not going to get my figurative buzz be killed by the (completely valid) critiques. :D

I get to explore it and the content. For the sale price and the group discount, it was definitely worth the price. I still have Alchemy 1 and all of the expansions...
