I have this problem and have read about it before in the forum but now i don't find it. But it seems not possible to make fxb of multiple fxp's?

I don't know if this works or not.

DMB Bank Maker v2.0

This is the original DMB BankMaker (version 2) from the old Patch Arena. It converts any folder of FXP files into an FXB file (VST program bank). Use Instructions: 1) Run the EXE. 2) Select the folder containing the FXP files to be converted. 3) Select a file name for the FXB file to be created. 4) Press "go!"

PC/Windows only.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I remember i have tried this program before. I get access violation error message with this.

go HERE and pull down minihost
its been around since the dinosaurs, but it IS THE vst bank manager tool of choice.

I'm running Win7 home premium 64bit...minihost is a 32bit app, but it runs just fine...
what OS are you running?
when you attempt, do you get any error codes?
if you are running win7 or higher, right click on the exe and select run as administrator and see what that gives you...

I'm allso on Win7 home premium 64bit :) Nothing happens when i start the program, no error messages nothing. Running as admin didn't help.

man...that truly sucks.
I hadn't pulled it up in a long while and it seems that while minihost still comes UP on my machine, it will no longer actually "play" ;P ...preset manager function still works but that doesn't help YOU right now...so I'm now at a loss, Sir...
Don't know what your DAW/host is, but I have found a less elegant, but functional way to created fxb's from fxp using the native interface for your plugin in Ableton Live:
1-load the synth/effect you want to work
2-open the synth/effect GUI (...but ONLY open it for now...)
3-using the LIVE native preset selector, pull up a preset you would like to copy over
4-drag the fxp you want to save to the open GUI of your synth/effect
5-repeat steps 1-4 until you have loaded all the fxp you want to include in your bank...
6-click the "floppy disc" icon on the LIVE native interface of your synth/effect and choose to save the file as fxb.

it's not nearly as slick as using minihost, but it works. If you are not using live, maybe there is a variation on the steps above that might work in your host. I hope at least some of this helps!
