Now it won't launch. When I view in task manager, Falcon.exe starts, runs, and then stops right away.
Does this require a computer restart to fix?
My virtual midi cable is recognized as a midi input in Falcon stand-alone.
Wow that's weird.
If restarting do not helps, you can remove the registry entry where we save the standalone configuration.

What was this selected MIDI device ?

midisport 8/8s
I finally got it to come back up and tried to set my soundcard ASIO Roland QuadCapture, and it immediately crashed.
Am I supposed to know what entries in the registry I need to delete/modify to fix it?

I'll just use it in DAW for now, I guess.

pinki wrote: Ah thanks for the reply. Yes load as layers might do it. Good shout.

You see I have loads of basic M5p 'Synths' that I have made in MF3...which consist of an oscillator and its associated envelopes and filters, maybe a bit of Drive or fx.
They are building blocks for sounds. I want to combine them with a sampler... for example to design an instrument.
In MF3 it was incredibly difficult...like I say, I ended creating a dummy Part and loading them in there and then cutting and pasting Keygroups from the M5p instruments.

I was so hoping this was addressed in Falcon. So if it could be looked at I would be happy. Thanks!
I suggest you to use layer in that case, this way, polyphony is handled automatically so you have always the whole sound.
A 16 polyphony on Program means that you can play 16 x N voices where N is the number of layers.

Plus two layer can be played mono while this won't be the case with two stacked Keygroups.
Supper happy..I just couldn't figure this out..and yet 'Load As Layers' was staring at me all along! Thanks Otristan.

@Musical Gym

If I remember this correctly,
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/net.uvi/Falcon
and there is an SA folder if I remember this right, you just need to remove it.

I am on OSX at my place so I cannot check this easily.

I appreciate you trying to help, Olivier. I don't want to edit the registry in order to try to fix.

I don't think it likes my ASIO card since it crashed immediately when I tried to set it:

It liked my quad capture in Win7 64. I will revisit later tonight to double-check that I'm not lying. :P

Is there a way to scroll the arp or to view the right portion of it when set to number of steps that won't fit on screen?
I can't see the end portion.
Edit: Found the scrollbar after I resized Falcon to small size.
Would like option to fit arp (all steps) to arp window so no scrolling is necessary.

Got a couple questions for Falcon users:

1) Have you tried importing user wavetables? Does Falcon give visual representation when browsing user wavetables, as it does the factory ones?

2) Does Falcon support undo from the host, when running as a plug-in? How about as a standalone?

Thanks!

1 - sure, if it's a table and not a single wav this will reflect in the GUI, watch some videos.

Thanks Simon. I guess what I meant was - is there a way to add user wavetables to the library so that they show up in the wave table selector? Quite like being able to see all the factory wavetables when browsing, rather than just obscure names. Saw this in a video walk through video - 58:30 in this - just wondering if it's possible to add and see user wavetables there. Thanks again for the info!

Yes, once imported save the oscillator preset to the user library in the dropdown menu on the right of the module, then you can always recall saved wavetables.

Great. And how about undo? Is that available in standalone? Or from the host when running as a plugin?

Getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on this. Looks like an amazing synth with some nice presets to boot!

No Undo, you have to be sure what you're doing :)

Ack... That's too bad. "You have to know what you're doing" isn't something that describes my typical workflow. Will just have to remember to save patches often in case I need to revert I guess. Thanks for the responses Simon.
