Yes. EQ is allowed. Maybe BJ can explain this better, but I think the point is to not use effects that are so extreme they will substantively alter the sound of the synth. The expectation is that we design sounds that are useful without having to rely on additional processing. However, for the sake of mixing and production, the normal mixing tools of EQ, dynamic range compression, delays and reverbs can be used in the typical ways to clean up your mix. To keep an even playing field, the rule is we can only use effects that are built into our DAW or available for free.GaBeRock wrote:so I'm a little confused; am I allowed to EQ/filter the synth?

That's great, thanks. It's not like chorus/unison/flanger/phaser can't be re-created by just layering instances of the synth a whole bunch of times anywaysontrackp wrote:Yes. EQ is allowed. I'm so glad this synth is as efficient as it is.

Very nice, fairplay. Simple and easy on the eyes.
I prefer numbers when doing FM so I use your first one but the one with the knobs sure looks good too.
Thanks a lot!

Anybody know how to make a good Sitar patch? or at least something that sounds similar. it's like one of the many kinds of instruments I can't make well in any synthesiser. XD
It's very tasty, I swear!

I'm still having trouble with this. Whenever I open my project, some of the sounds still come up as the default sound and I have to hunt around to find the version I saved. I've been using Save preset once I have a sound I like, renaming it, and then it comes up in the User preset list, but doesn't change the sound on the VST when I select it. Arghhhhh! Thanks.photonic wrote:THANK YOU !ere2learn wrote:@photonic are you saving them as preset or export vst patch
The internal one in OXE I dont use...![]()
This was helpfull! I just ignored the save option and choosed the export option.![]()
But save is working. And the sound will get a name
It is crazy that for some synths the export option works and the save option not, and vice versa.

Actually that's not so bad. Good idea to get dibs on it earlyrghvdberg wrote:Came up with the lamest song title ever.

Maybe I'll call mine breakin' roXe?
@fairplay, nice skins, very clean look. I have been using the one by totolitoto as I like the soft (darker) tones but might darken this one a little and try it instead.

Has anyone noticed that in setting Mod Dest 2 to Filter Cutoff the sound drops out? Funny thing is, if you left-click any dial on the GUI, the sound comes back but then disappears as soon as you let go of the mouse button.
Possible/probable bug?

@Fairplay: Your skin is the shiznit. And I'm not sexting you right now
@H-man: I didn't realize it was specifically filter cutoff, but I've def seen that behaviour. Will keep Mod 2 away from cutoff, cheers
