Probably not for next beta but on future releases.VitaminD wrote:I still haven't bought this.. waiting to see if the slicing additions make it in.

oh.. I see. Well is the version with these enhanced sample slicing abilities in stone? Right now it is extremely tedious to slice samples in Bliss..George wrote:Probably not for next beta but on future releases.VitaminD wrote:I still haven't bought this.. waiting to see if the slicing additions make it in.

For now, you're better off with manual slicing. Auto slicing in Bliss is simply not good. Anytime you have like... 10 drum samples in a single file you want to slice, and bliss fails to detect the most dominant transients like a simple kick or snare without adding literally 12 or more slices per sample, forget about auto. The added threshold percentages are useless at this point. You still get excessive slices no matter which % you use. Bliss is just too sensitive to the most minute transients.VitaminD wrote:oh.. We took the time to implement better transient slicing with this last beta.

I uninstalled beta5 then installed beta6. Was that necessary? Or could I just have installed beta6 "over the top"? (But then I would have ended up with multiple uninstall files in the folder.)
Also, the install overwrote my settings file (in ...\Documents\discoDSP\Bliss) so make a back-up copy first then rename them.

Over the top should also work.
