sorry if that bugs anyone : G
Actually it was kind of a refreshing read you don't see often around those places. Sounded like an actual person with an identity :)

And maybe thats the essence of Absynth. At least thats my impression of Brian (Absynth father) and Absynth.

Cheers

You do realize you must never post again right ? :D 808 posts I'd for sure stop there.

But in all seriousness Absynth is a ffing beast of a synth and I love using it even though most of the functions it has seem like ancient Greek to me :P Must read the manual someday :D

Loved Absynth, for sure.

That was years ago.

Moved on with other better sounding synths, with better workflow, more user friendly interfaces & more modern tools. Will go back to it if, one day which (I highly doubt) it is updated.

Like The Mangle?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Mangle...

Maybe for you they are sounding better but absolutely not for me, not even Alchemy. IMO of course, there are no hard facts about it ;)

I'm so curious what you think about Mangle versus Granite. Mangle has been really buggy for me and I'm on the fence about Granite. I love Granite's interface, especially how you can so easily modulate the knobs on-screen.

Very different synths. For me it's a worflow VS sound. If you aim for a very dense, lush and prestine sound, go with Mangle, one of the best sounding granular synths at the moment imo. But if you aim for the worflow and very unique modulation possibilities, go with Granite. It definitly sounds rougher and choppier than Mangle, but its unique recordable modulation rings make it unique and very organic sounding despite its raw sound. Hope than helps a bit!

Yes it does! thanks so much. I heard similar things from others so it helps to have confirmation on its general qualities!!

(even if Granite sounds rougher and less smooth, I tend to prefer Granite for its unique modulation workflow. I get better results with it for pads, drones, textures...)
