That set-up in the video is insanely complex. You have to manually define the behaviour of each object you add; there's loads of objects in the that video that behave differently say, on every other swipe. I've got some stuff going with it, but there's generally about 30 mins to an hour of work involved to get something simple like a drum kit going. Once you've got something going though, man it's fun! I guess I'll get better/faster with practice
Hermutt Lobby are amazing with this kind of stuff incidentally - lots of skill involved. They to do this kind of stuff with traditional controllers set up in similarly bonkers ways and make it look effortless.
Anyway, one more video. Why not![]()

Ofcourse good. Does the creator share his setups and projects so we can enjoy the same feeling of awesomeness?Jace-BeOS wrote:Is that good sick or bad sick? Aussie pricing was released today. Over $2000 for a fully spec'd unit. I just lost interest.

Not sure if they've ever released any Beatsurfing projects, but there's a Live project/patch here if you run Live and have a 16 pad controller handy: https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/herrmut ... -on-music/keyman_sam wrote:Ofcourse good. Gives an insight into how they were subverting standard controllers before they made Beatsurfing. In one of the linked videos, they 'beatsurf' with MIDI sliders.

On the plus side, you can scourge the used market for some good deals on the iPad Air. Now is when the gotta-have-it fanbois start selling their iDevices to make room for the Pro.werp wrote:Aussie pricing was released today. Over $2000 for a fully spec'd unit. I just lost interest.
