The demos of Miroslav Philharmonik 2 sound good to me.
One question: is there any Divisi feature coming with the new library?
I see no mention of this in the description.

Great customer care skills there, Peter... Defensive from the get go.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:... sorry that you don't like it and you are entitled to your opinion but no need to slag it because you feel the upgrade is too pricey for your tastes and you haven't reviewed the information about it based on the misunderstanding shown in your last post)...

Yes,murnau wrote:No wait! As Miro said it isn't about the money..TheKid wrote:Wow, 400 € intro / 500 € regular price for a mix of old samples and new ones? That's more than steep.
As far as people saying that IKM are just wonderful and people are 'being unfair', perhaps you should ask yourself WHY so many people have criticised them in the past.
Still waiting for ST3 free that can play ST2.5 samples...

No, that's not the only reason, nowhere near.machinesworking wrote:
A side note: and don't take this personally. The only reason IK gets so much flack is the weird upgrade policies with Jam Points VS just flat out owning a license to a previous version.

Didn't you know it's technically impossible?basslinemaster wrote:Still waiting for ST3 free that can play ST2.5 samples...
Anyway, another user asked about divisi. I would be surprised really as i don't think this kind of orchestra library cover those fields. In all fairness i don't think this would be a dealbreaker for many.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Crap... I might just have to do this after all, then (thanks to remaining group-buy credits left after the recent ST3 xpansion GB... need to try to save some for future t-racks too, though... aargh!).Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Yes you can purchase the upgrade/crossgrade (or full) versions of Miroslav Philharmonik 2 with Gear Credits in Custom Shop. You should be presented with the appropriate option based on what you already have registered once you click "Collections" in the SampleTank section of Custom Shop.

Not quite; the JamPoints limit will still be 30% won't it? 199 - 59 = 140.TheoM wrote:that's awesome... wow.. and also have 35 now so will be 199 minus 85. That makes it an almost no brainerPeter - IK Multimedia wrote:They are usable for preorder, and longtime Miroslav users are given 50 bonus JamPoints to use toward this (or other IK products) as an extra loyalty bonus.
I for one am excited about this, a new all in one 55gb orchestral library with 45 GB NEW content? This is GOOD news.
As far as I know the engine is exactly the same as used in ST3 so the levle of control will be the same as in there. But, to me this all depends on the content - whether it is " all in one orchestral" instrument. It's hard to tell how usable / flexible this will be without more details (such as in the post above) and I cannot believe that the audio demos do the library justice.
As for the ambience - the instruments in MP1 came with CSR Reverb as a Send FX (always routed to outputs 1+2). MP1 instruments in ST3 did not have that; but you could add it yourself.

If it comes with a free butler and chauffeur, it will also be very, very cheap, but meanwhile, back in the real world... What you imagine it to be is irrelevant to reality, why even write something like that?TheoM wrote:If it's a library on the level of what i imagine it might be, $199 upgrade is actually very, VERY cheap.
