No, don't bother with it, it is really not necessary.
Just focus on the synth.
TIA :)

The only necessity in life is to die. It would be a very nice to have and a kind customer (if I may call us so even if the plugin is for free) support. Development should be around customer satisfactory around the whole software, not only developing a good core sound. But also a nice news feed, not in a thread where every kind of topic is discussed. Such little things will make a developer/company stand out.

Have to agree. Concentrate on the important things. You do this in your freetime. I don't see a problem for anybody to come here once in a while or to subscribe the thread.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Maybe this is an idea:

You can make a dedicated (locked) thread and everytime there's an update you post in it. Then we can subscribe to that thread and we always have the newest 'developments' at hand. . . :)

Cheers!

I don't think the average KVR member can unlock a thread, so that would have to be done by a moderator each time.

Can he update the KVR product page itself and we get notifications by subscribing to that?

I think that'd be the easiest way. Create a product at KVR, and every user that adds this product to his MyKVR will automatically get an email (if he didn't deactive this function) as soon as the developer updates the version.

Damn. You're right! I thought you could lock and unlock threads that you started.

But that is not the case. Pity!

I thought so too.
I'll check it now on some of my old threads.
OK so i could lock a thread started by me, but after locking it, there is no edit button, so i can't unlock it.

Most of us follow hundreds of different VSTs and thousands of different websites. We also work 9-5s and have our own families to attend to. This makes it hard to plan to visit special forum threads on regular intervals. This is where email comes in. When it's all said and done, email always has been and always will be the main communication medium of the Internet.

It'd take the author max 1 hour to set it up. Also, he could put a bitcoin donation address in the footer so all of us could help support the development. I know I would.

The developer already has a donate button at

https://sites.google.com/site/mlvst0/

It works. I know since I have used it and just wonder how much he has gotten for all his hard work so far.

I feel the situation is fine the way it is. Still, changing the title of the original post is a possibility since Martin_L is the original poster.

Cool. Didn't know that. Martin definitely deserves it.

Has anyone made any Mac presets yet? I went through all of the various versions of the AU that are available, and while 2 of them did recognize the .fxb files as files they didn't load the patches. Surely someone's come up with some presets by now to tide us over until Martin gets a chance to fix the patch bug for the OSX version?
