Question: Do I have to install Pace support each time there is an update? I tried to cancel at that point but it told me if I did that the install wouldn't complete.

The installer lets you select what to install, just untick the Pace install and proceed. You can update pace from within the pace app if needed.wagtunes wrote:Question: Do I have to install Pace support each time there is an update? The “soundbanks“ is reserved for ufs archives, published by UVI or 3rd parties who license the UVI player. The structure i described is an alternative, I have been using this for all my MachFive releases, you just drop it anywhere on your system and add it to Places.thetechnobear wrote:Im obviously being dumb here....Sampleconstruct wrote:Main folder (library name)thetechnobear wrote: so how do I create the equivalent of a sound bank?
containing:
Images (for scriptable interfaces/wavetable resynthesis)
Programs -> Subfolders (optional)
Samples -> Subfolders (optional)
Wavetables -> Subfolders (optional)
Scripts do not have to be stored in the library folder as they are embedded in the programs anyway.
so I created this structure, and added it to my 'soundbanks' directory (as specified in preferences) but its still not showing up. (I create all the above, but only put something in Programs, as this is all I want)
(BTW: I found out, that scripts have to be stored in ~/Documents/Falcon/User Presets/Event Processors /Script Processors , if you want them on your menu)

Before anyone chastises me, yes, I've followed this monster from page 1, but I've been lost for a while. My Falcon Factory UFS is stored in it's own directory on my sample drive. All of the other Vintage Vault ones are there too. The VV instruments all show in the Kontakt-style pane on the right (sweet!) EXCEPT for the Factory patches. I continue to have to navigate to it under the Devices tab. What's wrong with me?

Have you added it to Places via right clicking on the archive?rustman wrote:Before anyone chastises me, yes, I've followed this monster from page 1, but I've been lost for a while. Updated - thanks. The persistence issue with browsed libraries is fixed but the places issue where favourited folders lose their shortcuts (when inside an already favourited folder) is still present, so is the issue with the full screen option not actually being full screen.

Gee, that rings a bell (and I think I even commented back there somewhere). Thanks for your patience. I'll get it right this time.Sampleconstruct wrote:Have you added it to Places via right clicking on the archive?rustman wrote:Before anyone chastises me, yes, I've followed this monster from page 1, but I've been lost for a while. You have to redo those favorites but after that, it should be fixed.aMUSEd wrote:Updated - thanks. Nop. Only the application itself has been updatedThomasHelzle wrote:Cool!otristan wrote:1.0.1 is live.
The changelog will be available when the KvR news is posted.
Cheers !
Do we need to re-download the content as well or only Falcon itself?
Cheers and big thanks!!!

This version features the latest 2.6 (previous was 2.5) version hence it asks to install the new one.wagtunes wrote:Question: Do I have to install Pace support each time there is an update? I tried to cancel at that point but it told me if I did that the install wouldn't complete.
Otherwise I don't think it install it each time.

In the soundbank pages of the preferences, you can setup folder where your soundbanks (UFS files) file are stored.rustman wrote:Before anyone chastises me, yes, I've followed this monster from page 1, but I've been lost for a while. You can toggle each folder, if you want the soundbanks in it to be auto mounted at Falcon startup or not.

Tried that, I deleted them all and redid them, as before the 2 banks by Simon have stayed proper shortcuts but the one to VSP Bird in flight keeps getting replaced by a dead link:
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Please check the soundbank panel in the preferences window.SJ_Digriz wrote:You probably already know this, but for the programs that do this I make a folder symlink to the drive I really want the folder on. Still would be better if Falcon support paths directly, but it isn't that hard of a workaround.ThomasHelzle wrote:In a similar vein:
Is there a way to tell Falcon where your user library is, if you don't use User/Documents (on Windows)?
I don't use my C: drive for such stuff (limited size SSD) but another HD, but Falcon defaults to Documents for many sorts of presets and re-creates the folders there each time I save one...
I looked in the registry settings for Falcon but did not see it there either.
Would make sense to have this location(s) in preferences like the sound bank paths.
Thanks!
Tom
You can put the UFS files anywhere you want as long as the folder is added there.
