For other playing mode, this is a Prepared Piano, so it's not something that you would be able to do on a real one, hence it's not possible directly in the product either.

just another example that simple things are not possible with UVI instruments

It was a very big mistake to buy the Falcon and the IrcamPiano!

The Struck piano looks nice too but as far as I can see the Ircam piano is the only one that allows for per string modifications, and therefore replication of particular preparations used in famous compositions.

Anyone know how big it is? Doesn't say on the UVI site.

Jue, can't you do this within Falcon, as Oliver suggested?

I understand its something you want to do in IrcamPiano, but its common that these have to have a certain feature set which may or may not do what you want... but this is not unique to UVI. There are many Kontakt libraries that might not have a feature I want, its not a fault of NI/Kontakt, and if I ask the developer of the library, they may or may not add it.

At least with Falcon, it seems to open that door for you?

don't get me wrong, Id like to hear issues you have with Falcon and libs, as Im new (just got falcon) to this, so have not invested in libraries yet, so eager to hear any problems I may encounter

For me its crazy to see an envelope that is restricted to some of the presets?
Many other libraries even the much cheaper ones are more documented then this product, this restriction is nowhere to read and a demo, who needs that?!
For me the feature of envelopes for a piano seems normal for me, in the mean time was looking around and saw that a lot of piano libraries offer this as expected, this wish seems not so unusual.
But there are more points that do not work as they should in my eyes.

And again it was a really big mistake to buy the Falcon and the IrcamPiano!

OK leaving aside the envelope thing what else is wrong with it? Does it not sound good?

Its difficult for me to give you a statement because I am not a piano player but the overall impression is that it is the brightest in my collection, would not suggested it for normal piano use, it is a Prepared Piano.
Sometime I think it needs more mixing than the others even the one from MachFive 2.
For me it was much more easy to get my sound from Kontakt libraries than from the MOTU / UVI ones in the past. The XtremFX as an example was used by me sometime ago till I found the freesound page were you could find better sounds much more easy that were not so harsh in the sound.
