Hey,

We just released our new multiband plugin Multipass along with 17 smaller plugins which work both as regular VST/AU plugins and as modules within Multipass.

5 of them are totally free, whether you use Multipass or not.

Check it out on our site!

Thanks, I understand you also have implemented a new online installer.

It worked well in my case, I got Faturator, Dispenser and KHZOne all updated in a flash :tu:

Post

On the Mac the new Kilohearts installer puts the plugins in the user VST folder "~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins" instead of the machine VST folder.

May we please have the option to install them to the "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins" folder?

I found an option in the installer to put the VST files where I want them on my computer.

Can you put up some more screenshots of how the whole modular madness with snapins full look like.

Can only find this so far:

Congratulation for the release, KiloHearts !
Multipass seems to be an excellent effect !

There is something about those snapins that makes me think about the blocks in Reaktor 6...

The description sure make it tempting to check out further, glad I got my hands on Faturator and Disperser already :)

Multipass [splits] the sound into up to 5 frequency bands, each with an unlimited number of modular effects, perfect control of your sound has never been easier. On top of this, a simple but powerful modulation system makes it the one stop shop for anything from out-of-this-world sound design to subtle sound tweaks.

Multipass is also a snapin host. That means that many of Kilohearts other plugins can be used inside Multipass in a modular fashion. That's right, good ol' Faturator and Disperser as well. This way you can make really intricate effects by applying snapins to the different bands before mashing it all back together.

Any users who took the plunge yet? I would love to read / hear some experiences!
Are the included effects good quality?? Do they have character or just bread & butter sound?

It looks like you need to at least get the Producers Pack to have some interesting effects to work with. I like that they've added a Limiter to the basic Multipass version, but i miss a filter in there too.

Glancing through the manual, most effects, or snapins, look rather basic. In my head i'm comparing the Multipass effects to Live 9 effects because that's what i normally use to make racks & multipass routings.

If time permits i will demo after the weekend and post my own findings.
