Unfortunately there isn't one yet because none, apart from the factory bank, were designed for Falcon specifically.wasi wrote:So what soundbank is along the lines of the factory bank, as in 'covers all the bases both sound wise and the manner in which they produce the sound'? I have this $100 voucher watching the sale go by but none of the sound demos has made much of an impression. Any help is appreciated...

Good that Falcon supports microtonal keymapping but where do you find .kbm files in the first place? They do not seem to be on the Scala site.

Yes, I can load it from the OS browser, but it would be much easier to do it from here. Just a convenience thing. Not a big deal.otristan wrote:You mean the script ?SJ_Digriz wrote:By the way, it would be nice if we could right click and Open in Editor from the right hand browser window instead of having to load it into a program first. Or am I just being a big baby?
because, you can easily do that using the OS finder/explorer

If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

.kbm files says which mapping is used so usually it's up to the end useraMUSEd wrote:Good that Falcon supports microtonal keymapping but where do you find .kbm files in the first place? They do not seem to be on the Scala site.

Thanks, that I knew, I never used workstation thought so I was hoping under the hood it had at least a little Falcon. I guess not.aMUSEd wrote:Unfortunately there isn't one yet because none, apart from the factory bank, were designed for Falcon specifically.wasi wrote:So what soundbank is along the lines of the factory bank, as in 'covers all the bases both sound wise and the manner in which they produce the sound'? It has parts of it for sure - just not the new stuff. But as far as I can see the UVI libraries seems to be mainly sample based, not sure if any even use things like the analog and FM oscs for example.wasi wrote:Thanks, that I knew, I never used workstation thought so I was hoping under the hood it had at least a little Falcon. I understand that. What I was saying is that I cannot bind the parameter. I do what I normally do with other VST's that have too many parameters...put Live in Configuration mode and click the parameter I wish to change and it appears. Not with Falcon. Nothing happens.otristan wrote:Live do not display automation when there are lots of those. Those are only displayed when connected and value is changed.
So you just need to first bind the parameter to an automation in Falcon, then use Live facility to see automation.
Of course now it crashes Live so I will have to wait on this one...Ableton and UVI have been sent crash logs.

So I maxed out my coupons by buying early and buying from Best Service, essentially got $200 in coupons for $29. But, I really really really have always wanted the IRCAM Prepared Piano, so I still ended up giving UVI more money! Dammit you win again UVI!

For me, clicking the the oscillator type header (where it says "SAMPLE", to the right of the power button) just contracts or expands the view of the oscillator details. Am I clicking the wrong thing?otristan wrote:Well you can.aMUSEd wrote:Since it doesn't seem possible for me to load a sample based UVI instrument like Prepared piano and switch it to a Granular multi osc, it would be cool to have a built-in granular effect for granular processing of the audio stream itself.
Just select a keygroup and change the oscillator type by clicking its header (the one with the oscillator type)
You can as well batch this when there is multiple keygroups selected using the batch button where the oscillator editor used to be.
