Price has nothing to do with it as long as the quality of MultiPass is high. One can not gauge the price against any other effects because there are no other products designed to do exactly what this does. It's more than just an effects plugin, it's more of a concept. I understand that MB-7 is a multiband mixer that can host VST plugins and that's all cool and everything, but if you look at this product, the beauty of it, is in the fact that all of the modules are available to easily edit and that makes the workflow a lot easier which in my opinion gives you the edge as far as creativity and experimenting is concerned. To me, it's a tool that allows you to easily paint the audio spectrum with a pallet of effects. This is pretty cool. I have to try this out.

I think Multipass is really cool. It was exactly like I thought it would be up against Blue Cat Audio's MB-7. Multipass was extremely fast and easy to dial up really good effects combinations, where using MB-7 seemed more of a pain in the ass when it came to workflow speed. This is not to say that MB-7 is crap, because it was awesome in it's own right, but Multipass is way more fun to use than MB-7. I felt right at home strategically adding snapins throughout the audio spectrum and adjusting to taste. I totally love the sidechain feature on the compressor and duck feature in the delay snapin. Awesome additions. The snapins were much greater in quality than I really thought they would be. My only gripe with Multipass is the fact that it does not have a reverb snapin. What's that all about? I was really shocked at this. There were other minor things that could be improved but they were not show stoppers, so I won't complain about them here. Overall I really love this forward thinking plugin. This is the future. Multiband effects chaos! I give my total thumbs up to Multipass. Great product!

But without some sort of baseline to measure against, users don't know for sure what they are paying for?Orbit-50 wrote:One can not gauge the price against any other effects because there are no other products designed to do exactly what this does.

There's a demo. If one likes what it does, one buys it. If one can't afford it or doesn't want to spend the money then one does not buy it. It's real simple. I'm enjoying the demo as well, the cool factor is high and the workflow / effects are good. My problem
with it at this point is that they are mostly pretty boring. To me the current full range of snap-ins feels like
they should comprise the entire base version and be offered for less. They should then start to build on that with
more interesting effects e.g. loopers, repeaters, matrix delays, reverbs etc.
As it is now, to me, the entry version seems useless and the full version doesn't offer enough value
to justify even it's current intro price. Although I would probably pick it up if it were to go on a decent sale.
So for me: 100$ maybe a little more for the full version and I would bite, I wouldn't mind if they
charged more than 19 for additions as long as they were interesting as well. For now I have to pass.
I will keep my eye out for a sale though.
Note* I have spent about 500$ on plugin's in the last month, so this is not about being
too cheap to pony up.

Great looking plugin, but as per plenty of other comments here the pricing is absurd.
I think something to understand is that people get pissed off with the whole micro-transaction business model, and that's what this feels like.
If I was the dev I'd ditch all the options and sell it with everything included as the only option.
If you want to add something later, call it version Multipass 2.
Even with everything included I feel it's a €99/$99 product.

I'm really surprised with so many comments about pricing the price did not change. Guess i wont be asking for any feature enhancements or bug fixes either... this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. Maybe something to do with that lettuce and tomato aftertaste.

Rarely does... Most devs don't like to accept that their work is not worth their 'high' asking price'.normanaj wrote:I'm really surprised with so many comments about pricing the price did not change.
But people tend to vote with their wallet... I certainly wouldn't shell out for it, but that's just me.

Not only you my friend. I think we'll see a sale soon or later but even for the half price i wouldn't buy it anymore. The whole "snapin" idea is so backward: I want to use the pro plugins i already have and love but not some mediocre stuff i have to buy on top of the "mother plugin". If they would be unique or strange in some way we can talk at least but this simple standard stuff? No thanks.Robmobius wrote:But people tend to vote with their wallet... Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
