i got Diva, OBX Pro and Tal UNO but i always was viewing at arturias vsts as well with the massive presetlist etc. but i always had to vomit about the small guis. how are their plugins compared to nowadays soundwise and against all the other analogue'ish vsts?

The small guis are a pain, and for my money, the emulation of most of them is lackluster. Diva is a better overall 80s analog emulator than any of the Arturia model specific plugins.

Some standouts are the SEM and the M12. The SEM because it has a great gui and actually sounds good and the M12 because it's at least as flexible as the original. That said, I don't really like the sound of the M12.

I have the V-Collection and I get the most use out of the Wurli and the samples from Spark. The 2600 gets honorable mention because it is fun to use, not because it sounds great.

I heard they're working on the GUIs.

The Matrix 12-V and SEM V sound pretty good, and I heard the Solina V sounds good too, though I haven't tried that one. With the $199 V Collection deal, it's not a bad deal at that price, even if it's just for those 3 synths.

Diva all the way. Better gui, better sound and more development.

TAL-U-NO-LX limited but stunning sound and very nice GUI. This and DIVA are my favourites.

Of course DIVA can't replace the wurly and the drum machine, but it is also cheaper. Anyway I don't like Arturia development pace, they seem to release way too much without fixing bugs.

From Arturia I really like Matrix12, Solina, Mini, and SEM. I demo'd CS80 and Jupiter 8, and recall they had some nice pads. Diva, OPX Pro and TAL UNO would cover similar areas as V collection. I might be inclined to fill in a couple of holes instead when on special.

I liked Mini well enough, then I got ACE, which isn't really a mini emu, but it covered similar ground and has better filter, then came Monark and Mini never gets loaded. Sometimes I play with the modular moog, but I hate the U/I, it's really unreadable and entirely too skeuomorphic.

Most of these things are subjective...Monark leaves me cold, I'd sooner use MiniV or Minimonsta :)

Arturia has a bigger collection of different synth. IMO the presets are excellent (for me often more usable compared to Diva). The GUIs are for some synth too small. There are regularly updates but I remember also about some bugs. The chance is good that more synth will be added in the future.
Arturia is always interesting if they having some deals eg. Black Friday.

Diva has a great GUI, sound is excellent, good presets but for me often a bit too oldschool. People praising Diva often because of the emulation quality which is very close to the hardware. There are regularly updates and it's very stable (I cannot remember about bugs).
U-He has no special deals so the price is always the same.

Arturia has been very underrated over here (I don't know why, but usually there is some people always jumping in every thread saying bad things about, many times without even having tried all the synths, or based on impressions got years ago on a particular release).

For the price, the Arturia Collection is a no-brainer (no matter what you already have). The diversity, and the quality of the emulations, make them very sueable, IMO. Independently of the quality of DIVA, it isn't a 1:1 emulation of ANY synth. It is "impersonating" the old school synths, but the main strenth is the "mix'n match" fo the diferente modules.

U-NO emulates almost perfectly the Juno-60 (as perfect as is humanly possible, IMO), but that one is not in Arturia Collection. OB-X Pro also isn't in the Arturia Collection, although the SEM, being polyphonic, can overlap a little (but they very different).

Now, look at the collection. You have a bag of old synth emulation, and in all of them you can use old patch sheets to recreate the sounds with the expectation of getting very near the original sound (been there, done that). This says a lot about the quality fo the emulations. You have the Moog Modular, the Minimoog, the CS-80, the ARP 2600, the Júpiter-8, the Oberheim SEM, the Oberheim Matrix-12, the Solina String Ensemble, the Vox, the Wurlitzer, and the Spark. Does this need more justification?

EDIT: Forgot to mention the Prophet-V

I saw Bazille and Diva over on B&H for cheaper, you have to be logged in to see the discount.

Got all the plugins you mentioned. And I think they complement each other very well.
