Hello Attila!
Thank you for the new beta!
So far, I like everything.
It is good that browsers can be moved outside the window,
but I would like to inspectors also had this opportunity!
I can not learn how to manage freehand beginning and end of the line (as it is not convenient to put the black squares start and end exactly at the grid ...Thank you !

I wanted to send you an e-mail about that I managed to fix all 4 issues that you reported with video files included. The videos and the attached composition files helped me to fix these problems quickly, without much guesswork.
So thanks again, your time and efforts are built into this latest version

Special thanks to New shortcut for "Phrase Selection To Timeline Region And Start Playback In Loop" and very nice it would be to make it work in Note Editing mode and not only with a whole phrase, but any selected notes!

Thanks for the new update v0.4, but its not properly working on my Mac OSX 10.11. There is no playback-line anymore, it disappears or sometimes its jumping around. Sometimes there are three or four lines. The behavior is quite chaotic. The program is reacting very slowly. Sometimes it takes a few seconds before anything happens or there is just no reaction. Its worse than before.

I will check this ASAP. I tested it on 10.10 and it worked well. I must admit I did not test it on 10.11.
There were quite substantial changes in the way the UI is redrawn on OS X.

I have found what the problem is on OS X. Fix will be available in about 2 hours. Please do not download the OS X beta until further notice.

v3.0beta5 is available for Windows and OS X!

Improvements:

Keyboard shortcuts were not saved, this is fixed
[OS X] a UI redrawing issue during playback, introduced in previous beta version fixed

Dear Attila and all,

thanks for the new beta. Looks great, but I only had time to check whether I can now open it as a vst in Ableton (OS 10.11). However … still no luck.
Is anyone else using the RC vst successfully in Ableton? Maybe I'm just repeating the same stupid mistake over and over. But I can't think of what it could be!

Hello Thomas,

I also hope some kind users will tell us about his/her experiences with Ableton.
The last time I tried, the VST worked in Ableton (trial) on OS X. I am thinking hard about what the problem can be. Have you tried to start the RapidComposer application first, then start Ableton with the RC plug-in. In this case the plug-in should connect to the application, and the application goes into a 'VST' mode. Please try this. Maybe the plug-in cannot start the application, but it can recognize when that is running.

ok, I tried, but the results are puzzling:
The first thing is, that upon opening RC I get the usual message: "Error #2, setting up the vst-bridge". I don't know how to get rid of that, as the first problem.

Second: When I open Ableton afterwards and insert the RC-plugin, it's the same story. But what I found now is, that when I drag&drop an RC-part into Ableton and then play it there, it does play through RC's sound-module (whatever I have chosen there). But it does not start/stop RC's sequencer.

However, I'm not even sure what would be the criterion, to say that the RC-plugin works in Ableton as it should? I guess I should first compare RC's plugin-behaviour on the Windows side in Reaper, in order to get a better understanding of what to expect from the plugin-function.

Separate windows option for browser wonderful,
only thing is they are "Always On Top"...
is it possible to make this always on top optional while separate active?

let's figure this out. I'll build a special version with more logging. I'll upload it and send you a PM with instructions. You'll need to run RC from the Terminal and examine the printouts.
I did not know it displays that error message every time the program starts! That is certainly a serious problem. It indicates an error when setting up the kernel port that is used for communication between the RC plug-in and RC app. No wonder that the VST plug-in does not work.

Yes, every time you start the error message "Error # 2 VST"
(But someone has already reported about it and I have it with a 1 beta and more ...)
