Will rhino only load single sysex patches and not banks of patches.

Why is it that I can only "export" and "copy" in all banks except the "Internal" bank?

Is there another version of rhino for registered users. Mine says Demo in the Add/Remove programs. Not that it matters I guess. Just wondering if that is how it is supposed to be.

Like I said. New user. Sorry for what I am sure will be dumbass questions

Thanks

I guess you're talking about DX7 sysex import. Rhino import banks of 32 DX7 sysex.

Consider this a thing of the past, since the Internal bank concept is gone with Rhino 2.

That's because the program is installed as a demo, and turned into a full version with your reg key. As a result the entry in add/remove programs stays labelled as "demo".

You can, however, get your hands on the pre-release version of Rhino 2 (use the "site code" you've received by email to login at http://bigtick.pastnotecut.org and download it from the "private files" section, together with other goodies like Dodecaline).

Welcome to the world of happy Rhino users :-)

I have another question regarding levels. I know this was discussed before but I am still unsure about levels. I notice that when I am starting a new patch the levels are so low in comparison to other synths I have (Cameleon, EVE) that I cant hear the waveform at all. Is there something I could be doing to get the levels up.

Excellent. Thanks for the tip.

Is it possible to pan the individual oscillators to different parts of the stereo spectrum?

What is the ring modulator referred to in the Mod Matrix. Does it have any settings that can be modified?

Not directly, but you can route the oscillators through a lowpass filter set to 100% cutoff, and use the keyboard/pan curve of the filter. In Rhino 2 there is also the allpass filter, it's very easy on the CPU and can be use just for that, as it doesn't color the sound at all.

The ring mod takes up to 3 oscillators as input, and output their product. It doesn't have any settings, other than the input oscillators (that you select by ticking them in the matrix).

I made a few presets in v1.09 and the installed 2.0 SP1. I copied the .fxb to the rhino2 folder and although the waveforms were still selected none of the presets were anything like what I programmed. I started again as they were only for learning anyhow. I just installed the 2.0release version and same thing happened. Lost presets. I started again.

Now after having computer problems I copied a saved backup of my own .fxb to the rhino2 folder and again the presets are gone.

Any idea on what could be causing this.

No. Could you email me one of these fxb's and I'll check what's going on ?
