This is one serious tool.
I love the interface.
I don't know what it does. But hey, I love it!

I had to get this.
I can use it for surgery.
I can use it for just general messing about and 'sound design'.
I can compress the selected EQ regions.
I can EQ with compression...
Never mind.
Let's be honest, I don't have a f**king clue what this thing does.
But it just does it.
Er, I think I might make some presets...
The work of genius.

Cool! Thus, now I'll be able to fix, e.g., kick/bass frequency clash by duckig the overlapping frequencies in bass when kick hits without the need to split the bass into two tracks, right?dimtsak wrote:Experimental version with external sidechain.

oh my lord, the external sidechaining is amazing!! I've been wishing for something like this in an EQ plug for years.

Oh man, I havent commented on this one already? Hats off, it's a great plugin. Like "I'm sure I'm going to be using this years to come" great.
The way the GUI lets you effortlessly dial in exactly what you want (I've used it both for dynamic attenuation and boosting) and the results sound very good, no matter whether you used it for subtle correction or dramatic effecting. Not to mention the new features deepen the scope even more.
Haha, I sound like an advertisement
... But seriously, I consider it to be a "must have" tool, and very affordable at that.

How did I miss this?
I must have died and gone to hippy heaven.
It's an EQ. It's a Compressor. It's both.
And with a true side chain it can be a De-Esser.
Plus so much more.
It's a tough call, but this might be the most essential plugin in the BusTools pack.
MDynamicEq is FOUR times more expensive. I'll get it at some point.
But there is not one FX plugin I own that confuses the Surgical/Creative Tool department so much. It can stitch stuff up and cut stuff out. But it can automate and assimilate the stroke of a painter's brush. Broad strokes. Or back to the surgical.
A truly amazing tool. And now with a true sidechain? Does this still remain VST2.4 compatible? Never mind.
Wow.

Imo the real success of this plugin was in coming up with a workable GUI concept for controlling and understanding a Dynamic EQ.
Sorely needed ever since DQ1...
And now we get a sidechain...?
Im thinking this will open it up to more creative uses too.
For me this is the first attempt at a Dyn EQ that really nailed it all around, and created an everyday-utility type tool.

I haven't tested the sidechain yet but my thought is it will be great as a more refined kick-triggered bass ducking tool. You can just carve out the most critical areas of the bass to duck rather than the more ham handed way of just ducking the entire signal with the kick.

Excellant side-chain in FlX4 Jeroen!
De-ess'd some 4KHz vocal (in a full mix using sidechain) without touching guitar, cymbol/snare, etc. while at the same time de-popping some low mid resonances (without sidechain in same instance). Workflow time = seconds to setup.
Very, very nice...

Er, I mean, you can then compress it.
Um, rather a lot.
Or however much you like.
A bit further if you want.

This is a great plugin. Not everyone cares, but my first FR would be VST3 sidechaining. VST3 sidechaining is so quick to instantiate that I don't even bother doing it the other way anymore. Right now, MAutoDynamicEQ (complex) and Alloy (often more than I need) handle my sidechained Dynamic EQ needs, both VST3. But I honestly like the elegant simplicity of TB Fix.

Hi,
Beautiful plugin, I use this on every mastering session to boost some Db's regarding the coming signal!
One question for the future, can you please improve the resolution on the lower frequencies?
I mean, I can only use band down to 50Hz, do you have any plan to make this eq suitable for low frequencies cuts?
I love your filters BTW.
Keep your hard work, and thanks for the ReelBus update!
Mauro.

(I didn't find a TB forum, so am posting here)
I just got the TB-flx and am wanting to get a better understanding of the application of the Broadband Gain filter type, with its adjustable bandpass like frequency filter. Not much in the manual about it.
As I understand it, this gives Flx the ability to behave like a typical full band compressor, but with the option to have a "key filter" to only respond to a certain range of frequencies. Are there other uses for it, perhaps somehow related to the SC Input selector? Any other uses for it?
Thanks

Hi, I recently know this amazing product. I'm considering the purchase of this.
I have a question for TB FlX users.
I tried TB FlX demo. I thought this is a great flexible plug-in.
However, on the other hand, I also felt inconvenient part.
TB FlX is not possible to adjust threshold independently.
When I adjust the threshold, ratio also changes together.
In other words, when I want to change only threshold,
After I set the threshold, I have to return "the changed ratio" to "the original state".
Moreover, this adjusting is possible only mouse operation in "3-node dynamics processing editor".(knee drawing screen)
I felt inconvenience in this operational style.
Don't you feel dissatisfied with this style?
You do not care about this?
Below is my desire.
I want to control the threshold and ratio separately.
Furthermore, I want to also control them from outside of "3-node dynamics processing editor".
Similarly to the attack and release, If threthold value and ratio value can be input directly from keyboard, I'm happily
