Hallo, Attila!

I found some issues!
A small issue: In the phrase generator resizing the window is great! But when I hit regenerate and Apply To Selection, the window size resets back to normal which is a bit too small for me.

And a bigger issue:
The phrase variation Double Phrase swallows notes sometimes.

It would be nice if you could have a look into this!

Hi Soman,

yes, I'll look into these issues.
So far no-one complained about 'Double Phrase'. Does it swallow notes during playback (notes not heard), or also visually? If you have a simple composition that shows this issue, will you send it to me in e-mail?

Hello Attila!
Example :
Playing the loop from 1.1.00 to 02.01.00.
If real-time drag blue stripes Timeline
the position from 02.01.00 to 03.01.00, then will play from 1.1.00 to 03.01.00, but not from 02.01.00 to 03.01.00. It would be right to play only after the stop and play again.
Is it possible to change the mode for playing the loop in real time?

Some notes aren't played back. Visually they are there. I'll look into that further and see if I can replicate that reliably and send a composition to you.

Issues:
- Chord Selector window not shown on mac os el capitan.
- Too low FPS on mac os el capitan.

Hi aleksnewlife,

yes, these are known issues. OS X 10.11 did not exist when the current RC version was released. It is not even supported officially.
Please download the latest beta version which works well under El Capitan without these problems. It is highly probable that a new update will be posted in the next 1-2 days which fixes an issue with the VST plug-in.

Hi,

I did not use RC since a couple of months, and now that I'm back "on tracks" RC has problem with my sound card. At startup I first have a "error when setting audio device".

When I go to audio, then audio is set as "disabled", and when I switch to either ASIO with its native driver, and Windows driver, when I press the sound test icon, RC always crash.

Did did not change any hardware (maybe or newer driver for the sound card a Xonar DX ??). Cubase and all the other VSTi are working like a charm in ASIO mode.

I can't find any log file to copy there.

It's the same for RC 2.9 or RC 3 beta

Hi Pete,

did you try the latest beta version (3.0b11, January 22nd)? It contains improvements for ASIO.
If you did, I will send you a version that does logging.
Please try the following: start the program by holding down the Alt key during startup. Then switch to Settings / Audio, and attempt to set your ASIO device.

Using the <ALT> switch to the properties windows. I'm running win7 x64. Otherwise yes I'm using the latest beta downloaded today (I sent you a mail about that download link).

I will reply then to it asking for the logging version.

Hi Attila,

I have to report, that under OS X (10.11) I am still getting that error message # 2: "Setting up the VST bridge". Since I don't need to run RC as a plugin: Does this cause any malfunction at all or can I just disregard that message?

I also have to report that the loop-function doesn't work. On the Mac-side, dragging in the timeline doesn't work, so I have to set the loop by right-clicking in the timeline. I then see the timeline correctly marked, but RC still doesn't loop.
On the Windows-side, dragging works. But again: no loop.

For the loop to work, you need to highlight the 'region' and 'loop' icons next to the transport buttons. Did you highlight those?
I have tried dragging and looping, both worked on OS X 10.10 with the latest beta version. I will need to try the same with 10.11. (Only dragging on the numbers lane works for selection)

Please also note the cursor, which had just run over the looped region without stopping.

I see. You have to highlight the icon next to 'loop' too.
If 'loop' is enabled only, it will loop the whole composition.
If the 'region' button is enabled only, only the region is played back and playback stops at the end of region.
If both are highlighted, the selected region is played in loop.

Please note that v2.9 has issues under OS X 10.11 which is not among the supported OSes.
Apple introduced changes in 10.11 which broke a few things, like the chord palette and this is the reason you see that error message.
