Looking for a small form factor controller for sound design, and the Beatstep comes with nice amount of knobs and aftertouch- how are the pads for playing notes, is the aftertouch sensitive? Thinking of using it for triggering chords via a midi plugin for deep ambient music, not playing epic moog solos on it

The sequence mode part is awesome, but I am having major issues with the control mode.
The pads randomly generate double hits, the unit is unusable in that mode.
This is not an uncommon issue, but no solution seems to be available.

Well, that's kind of bad news since I already bought one 2nd hand :S

After brief testing it seems to work perfectly, and overall the whole unit has a very nice feel.

I have to say the leds could be less bright

when I place my finger on the CTRL/SEQ button I can see right thru it. Would be awesome to be able to adjust the brightness with a fw update.

Hi.

Wormsfinger, are you on the latest firmware ? This can possibly be fixed with a FW update.

But this is not a common issue with Beatsteps, It is even pretty rare.
