Plus I love the sound of StiX, cant wait to molest this thing with my greasy sweaty hands
The sequencer redefines the *XoX Sequencer* concept, and brings it to a totally new level imho. ( though you can use it like a standard bread and butter XoX sequencer if you wish, so no learning step involved, it's 101% completely intuitive at this point )

It can also do, in relation with the synthesis engines and modulators, things that no other sequencer, or daw, can do. This will be explained more in depth when StiX will be released, hopefully quite soon now.

Somebody in this thread ( cant remeber who) expressed the wish to hear single drumpads/sequence lines, probably to hear in more details what a drumpad can be in StiX. I found the idea interesting.

Here's a sequence line made in 7 mouse clicks with StiX.

Drumpad ClayDrumWT

Here are the Seven Mouse clicks in the right order :

1/ Load Drumpad ClayDrumWT ( a sample I made with a wave table synth ) in the *perc 1* slot
2/ Click on a diode to populate the sequencer line with 16th notes
3-6/ Remove 4 notes out of the 16 ( this was the longest part :phew: )
7/ Add one *division* on a sequencer Step

I could have made better if I had clicked on the 'Random fill* Sequencer Line diode : Only 2 Mouse Clicks, but with no control on the beat, and strong believing/hope in *Random Heaven*

Just stop posting sound samples and teasing us. Just take my money and shut up already

This drum synth is going to be huge. I hope I can catch it with the intro price.

I'm not -only- teasing, I'm completing the drumpads collection, and record a few demos when I have time, trying to show how versatile the audio engines can be. I'm still learning a lot about StiX myself while doing all this.

Here another simple drumpad playing a standard 4/4 bar.

Why couple of hints about being a hybrid hardware when it's certainly not going to be one? I'm fine with digital drum software, it doesn't have to be sold as something it's not.
"analog" word is a must in promoting plugins these days.
Yes, even if something has very little in common with the actual sound of analog hardware..

Do you really think so?! None of the examples posted sound out of the ordinary to me. They do a nice impersonation of analog - but none of the weight and physicality I hear from any of my analog boxes.

i know, for myself, i need to get my hands on something, use it in context with the music i make, to really know if it's gonna work for me...or not (so am looking forward to this being released)...

Well, a few pages ago I posted a draft *d'n'b* demo where someone said it reminded him of the Vermona DRM ( Analog Drum Machine ). The two drumpads examples above are sample based. The 1rst is a sound I sampled from a wavetable synth, and the second is just a cymbal. StiX can sound very diverse. With some drumpads, I tried the last days to make it sound like a Buchla -sometimes- sounds. And well, the vibe was somewhat there. And yes, I think it can sound analog in a very convincing way, though not trying to strictly mimic any precise ancester. Don't forget none of the audio demos are processed : No comps, no EQ, no nothing, and everything thru the stereo output. Also, whatever the synthesis engines used, virtual analog or others, StiX can give *life* to anything very easily and quickly, and will allow you to write and perform very complex rythms if you wish so. It's a very addictive instrument. At least for me.
