I've googled, and the closest I see is iMPC Pro / FPC, looking closer at them to see how close they come to what I'm after, thought I'd ask in the meantime...
Back in VST-research mode, having ideas about workflow (still a DAW/MIDI noob), I've used some nice iOS apps that do mpc-style performance of one-shots etc, and I'd like to set up some layouts, using a qwerty keyboard, and ideally have a layout creator / manager feature that lets me adopt a non-standard (4x4 16 cell grid) layout.
It could be VST instance / layout preset 1 is a single row, with the drag drop sample-load etc, but if I can see which samples are on which 'pads' (ideally poly multi-velocity layering etc), if the names are visible on a layout (if only for reference), that would really help me as I wade through an ever growing sample collection.
To recap, MPC-style VST, custom layout.. if it rings a bell please holler!
