Ok this means that we should keep the running status of the pitch bend.
We need to implement as well the 1 or 16 channel broadcast at some point.
No biggie though.

Thanks a lot for developing the MPE aspect of Falcon - so far I only have Poly AT but I plan to get a MPE controller ASAP.
It's definitely one of the most important changes for making electronic instruments more expressive.
Cheers,
Tom

This version should handle the omni channel

Although it's quite untested as I don't have a device that uses it

Cool, I'll see if I can get a chance to test it this evening.
its a great testament to Falcon how it can handle this all in its stride

Is there a way to preview FX in the sample editor before applying them?
the way it seems to work now is really hit and miss...
it would be cool if there was a 'preview' button in the Apply FX dialog

... also, is there a way to reload a sample?
(for example if i edit and save a sample externally and would like to reload it into the current sample oscillator)
the sample editor has options for saving but not for loading or reloading samples...
also, the sample editor can 'Reveal in explorer', so it's easy enough to open and edit externally, though after i save it, how do i get it back in there?
i tried dragging the sample into the falcon sample editor after modifying and saving it externally though that doesn't doesn't update it.
one way that seems to work is to save a renamed version of the sample and then to drag that back in to the falcon sample editor though i think there must be a better way.

Just double click on a keygroup in the mapping editor, then double click on the sample you want to load or reload.

thank you.
this works for loading, though not for reloading a sample.
(using windows7 standalone)

Thanks so much for helping to nail this down!otristan wrote:This version should handle the omni channel

I was noticing some weird behavior with this version until I noticed that I think it's only with notes on MIDI channel 1. The "Omni Channel" setting is set to 1 currently. Can you explain what this function does and how to use it? I think it might be my current issue. Thanks!

Do you have OpenGL rendering enabled in Options? If not, try enabling it. If yes, try disabling it.

I checked the script, this seems to be, what was sometimes called the 'global' channel, i.e. PB/CC sent on this channel are sent to all 'touch' channels. we use this on the Eigenharps for the ribbon controls and breath which we want to affect all touches/voices.UmFuFu wrote:Thanks so much for helping to nail this down!otristan wrote:This version should handle the omni channel

note: MPE uses channel 1 as a master/global channel. (actually bit more complex than that, but I think thats all most are using for now)

yeah, its quite easy to reproduce, just whizz your mouse over the top of the controls.mrfrenkie wrote:It is about Bitwig Studio. I get problems with tooltips. It is disapear when I drag it with mouse. See gif. The problem Falcon or Bitwig?
Its not just Bitwig, does it on Live, Logic Pro X and Cubase 8.5 (Mac OS X. 10.10.5, AU and VST)

Ah, interesting thanks. So do you think that if I set this to some channel other than 1 I should be okay (if I'm using a Rise or similar)? Or could this get in the way even if it's set to channel 16, and I play 16 notes at the same time for instance?
