What a great intro price just $59 until Dec 14th :o

Of the three "UVI Cameo CM" looks especially interesting as this is more of a synth than a rompler according to the description:

Cameo CM is our own modern inspiration of the phase distortion sound. Another dual-layer instrument, but this time utilizing the Wavetable oscillator and DSP shaping tools from Falcon. Cameo CM isn't sample-based in the sense of the CZ and CX, rather it's aimed at achieving wholly new and unique sounds using the capable architecture of the UVI Engine. Explore a range of high-quality presets or design your own sounds with a full compliment of synthesis tools and built-in effects.

they use raw-samples, so "waveforms" from the hardware unit ;)

That is maybe not beneficial, I foresee complaints that the "mojo" of the original hardware unit then is lost.

It is then a bit like the DSF packs of the EMU gear

I certainly hope these are better than their very poor Ensoniq VFX and Yamaha SY-77 "emulations"....... :?

This is exactly my complaint with their VFX emulation. They programmed some pretty lame patches on a real VFX and then sampled them. I was hoping I would be able to sell my hardware VFX and use the UVI version but not even close. They missed the life and motion of sound the hardware VFX is capable of creating. I don't own a SY-77 but comparing the UVI version with examples on YouBoob it's obvious they missed nailing it as well....

My impression of Digital Synsations is they are just soundfonts with a GUI slapped on top. Perhaps their CZ instruments will be better........ :?

I really, really don't need this .... but then again, if you can't treat yourself at Christmas

Seems I have incurable GAS :help:

"Three" plugs, that less then $20 per item, not bad.

But I am wary of the usual high CPU hit of UVI stuff, I wonder how this is?

I hope I can make something similar also for UVI Cameo ;)

very inspiring elektro-organic sounds, bravo!
and the intro Price is a big temptation...

anyway I also would like to know how these sounds hit the cpu, falcon can be Ultra demanding on cpu-usage...

thanks in advance!

According to tech specs, download is 8GB+

So it is a big one, as they use lossless compressed files, had the audio been unpacked, must be 13-14GB of material it is based on :o

Post

Size : 9.16GB (FLAC lossless encoding, was 14.73GB in WAV)

You are welcome in advance mate

It is pretty CPU heavy

Good news though: with UVI WS 2.6 finally it works with easy midi learning in FL Studio :hyper:
