very biuriful sounds out of this instrument though, no? want see in depth video of it in action.Numanoid wrote:It is pretty CPU heavy
Good news though: with UVI WS 2.6 finally it works with easy midi learning in FL Studio

VirtualCZ has a much smaller foot print, better on CPU...and more flexible...at least from what I can tell.

I've been looking at the GUI, how many subpages does VCZ feature, for deeper tweaking?thejonsolo wrote:...and more flexible...
Right now Cameo got the upper hand price wise at $59, while VCZ cost $99

Kind of skimpy for $99 aint it?ere2learn wrote:None, just ADSR or MSEG page
For anybody digging the CZ sound weird that one want to limit one self to just one plug, you want more of a good thing right.

OK, that means at full price you would not have bought VCZere2learn wrote:Picked it up for less myself

I love some of UVI's stuff. I have Falcon, Relayer, and a dozen libraries. They are awesome. But with emulations, there IS some limitations. I do not see this being different. VCZ has minimal CPU hit, smaller footprint, and deeper program-ability and can be found on sale throughout the year for under $60. I own it and find it fantastic. So much so I dove in for some sound packs.
Cameo DOES fit in with where UVI has been headed for the last few years now. And what they do they do well. I just am not understanding the CPU hit. RAM yes. CPU no. EWQL Play loading Hollywood Strings does not give me the grief UVI Workstation does loading a Cello from their Orchestral Suite.

Sorry I am still a beginner, but does higher CPU use somehow correlate with sound quality? What causes the sound to require higher cpu use in this case?thejonsolo wrote:I love some of UVI's stuff. It is also very annoying that the filters in some parts of Cameo creates a lot of crackles whenever it is tweaked
