I just purchased Spire and it does not work with FL Studio. The VST does not allow you to change presets without exiting the VST each time in order to hear the sound. In addition it freezes and the sound ring out without stopping. I followed the Buffer template they sent to me as a remedy to no prevail. This was not worth my time and effort and money. The product worked great a few years ago when I used it as a demo, now I purchased it and it is unusable. And yes I am not an amateur user, I am trained in the field of computers and I am a musician with over 500+ Vst's . If anyone out there has had these issues, let me know.

They also have previous versions on their website which some have had to revert to.

I've been pretty good with the new version but the only thing I've noticed is some weird digital glitching when changing presets. That was not there before. All in all though, way less CPU usage.

Though I love this synth, I wonder why is Spire so...non-standard? I mean, it is the only VST plugin (and I've tried a ton) that needs workarounds and different settings in FL Studio wrapper to work decently...Shame. The problem is not FL Studio, that's for certain.

I know it doesn't help you, but years after you last demoed it, you should have demoed it again before buying this rather expensive plugin. So many things can change within a few years...

Revert to the last stable version (1.0.20 or something) 1.1. is half-backed
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Are you sure that is accurate?
I have often read reports on different forums including various beta software forums about issues and workarounds with FL.
Even imageline's website has a page dedicated to that:

Yes it's great time to grab the synth and the sounds too.

Looks like they are stopped the 50% sale for E-Motion Padsheaven, but you can still access it here:

Doesn't FL Studio use a VST wrapper? That would actually mean that FL Studio is rather non-standard, not the plugin.

Maybe the 98% of plugins that actually work are non-standard too. Who made Spire, Steinberg itself? Anyway, it is a buggy plugin. But it is a nice synth, regardless.

I've read about a few plugin problems with FL Studio here. Synthmaster is a bit fiddly too afaik.

Anyway, did you check this? http://www.reveal-sound.com/knowledge.php?27-30

Edit: Ah, just read above that you linked to that already. Well, what can i say. No problems here with Spire on Cubase, Studio One, Savihost, you name it.
