Hi wibem,
not yet, it will come in the next update, I am working on it now. At the moment I am not sure how to specify what kind of rests should be added, and where.
Thanks,
Attila

Hello Attila!
When I was in the phrase generator (bass) in real-time play, press keys G, the rhythm was generated, but the settings are again on the default (Note Usage/ Global movement аnd so on ..)
That is how it should be ? I think that the setting should not become a default on!
Sincerely lulukom

Hi Attila,
since new idea tool adaptation on the way,
i have a suggestion semi related to this topic.
Idea Tool has smart scale definition to set Master Track scale automatically for selected chord progressions on every Generation...
i think it would really helpful to have this smart function in Composition, while replacing progression from browser.
Warm Regards,
Yıldırım.

Dear Attila,
sorry to say, but I just tested the vst-version of RC in Ableton again. At first, I seemed to have no luck at all. Klicking on RC's plug-in-window in Ableton did not bring RC's UI to the top, nor did it seem to do anything else.
However: I then started RC first and then Ableton, inserted the plug-in and voilà: RC showed a banner that it was now working in VST-bridge mode, and it also started nicely, when I started Ableton.
BUT: Since sound-production on the RC-side seemed now disabled, I tried to assign it some synthesizer in Ableton. And that's where both programs crashed, repeatedly.

Hi yellukhan,
That is weird. Some notes are not even on the scale. Will you please send me this composition file?
Thank you in advance!

Hallo, Attila! I have installed and tested the new beta. The window size reset issue is resolved. Thank you!
BUT Rapidcomposer still sends out a RESET command on the virtual midi output when I press play.
My synths are still playing an init program.
And I see the RESET command at the beginning of the midi playback with my Snoize Midi Monitor program.
A screenshot is attached.
Can you please add an option to completely turn off ALL these Midi Reset commands? Thank you!!

Hi Soman,
I should have recognized earlier that RC does not send Reset at all! Silly me. It turned out this was a bug in the OS X version, where 0xFF was sent as the preset when 'No Patch Change' was set. This is fixed now.
Sorry for the hassle. I try to upload an update during the weekend with new rhythm features.
Thank you!
Attila

Ah okay, yes I already assumed it could have to do with the "No Patch Change" option not working correctly.
But honestly I don't know too much about special midi commands or even articulations and stuff.
It's good though that it seems I have led you on the way to find the error.
Can't wait for the new version that finally keeps my patches untouched.

Musical Gym wrote:Will there be any new videos? I learned a lot watching Chris Caulder's videos, but I think maybe he stopped doing any more?
Are user videos uploaded to tutorials section on website?
I will definitely be doing more tutorials in the future, especially with the new version. I'll try to get right to the point this time around. So much has changed.
I'm glad a lot more of you are into the program since two years ago, though. Excellent.

Your tutorials were great and helpful. And they are much needed for all the new features. So very glad to hear you'll be doing more. Thank you.

Great news. Thank you Attila. Looking forward to this fix, this problem had been irksome to me as well.

By not using it regularly, I am completely lost with RC at this stage!
