hi

Had a real good muck about with sr202 tonight and it played up big time.

1. Reloaded a kit whilst playing in a song - crashed e.g hanging, buzzing sound and had to restart PC

2. Won't respond to CC properly - open sr202 on midi channel (ie. channel 1) and it seems to respond to Kenton CF slider movements.

Record a track and try to record some parameter automation onto a 2nd track (same midi channel) and the sr202 knobs stop responding to CF.

Weird behaviour and means I can't really trust the sr202 for serious work :=(

Sorry I can't be more specific but it definitely seems to sr202 that's playing up - loaded many other VSTi's in same session (including CM101) and they behaved fine.

Not sure if this info is important but thought you'd like to know.

Every single Mac user i know loves SR202, but even the ''c'" release remains extremely buggy and is unusable...

the moment u go crazy with the knobs, it freaks..

The issue with the CC is a new one for us, not heard anyone having problems there. Could it just be that you changed the selected pad and so couldn't see the CC changes moving the knobs?

We're certainly looking very hard at SR202 and have spotted a couple of areas where things could be tightened up. Expect a new version soon.

My sp202 is jacked as well. Whenever i open it up it will allow me to load it full of samples (most of the time) but when i start triggering after about 2 minutes crashes my cubase, buzzing noise, have to restart.

I installed the latest version, tried an earlier version plus a patch, even went as far as to pull all the audio software off the computer, defrag my hard drive, and reload my sound card drivers.

Muon, this is a great piece software but.......I too get the consistant crashs.
os 9.2. logic 4.8.1/ 120meg for logic. looking forward to the update. any idea when?

Try giving Logic more memory.

Interestingly, I tried SR-202 on my 7300 and it would crash all the time.

I replaced the 7300 with my G4 and the same SR-202 works flawlessly.
I put it down to either memory requirements (I can give Logic heaps more
memory) or the different Video card. My G4 has the AGP Rage128 pro.
Unfortunately I don't know what the 7300 had.

I also turned off all the 3D acceleration for my card, disabled Qucikdraw
and OpenGL as well. I left the 2D acceleration on though.

Same here. After ca. 2mins of working with the SR-202 my system freezes *completely* and I have to use the reset-button for reviving my PC. This behaviour seems to be independent from what I did before (loading a patch, using knobs/buttons, etc.)

My Host: Cubasis VST 3.0r3
My System: P3/650/256, Win2k SR3, M-Audio Audiophile, Elsa Erazor III LT

Further information upon request.

Thanx Rachel for the tips. I did remove the extensions. logic has 300meg allocated. it still crashed. beige g3/ upped to 466. os9.2/ logic 4.8.1.
as you say the old video card may be the problem.

Has an update for sr-202 been released yet? Cubase SX and SR-202 just doesn't work together for me. Cubase simply shuts down after a few minutes use (as described below by other users) I love the SR-202. It's great! But I simply can't use it because of how unreliable it is!

I keep checking the website but no dice. I feel left out in the cold with all these great drum kits included on my comp music subscription cds.

We're working on it...sorry folks.
