I uninstalled the Command Center and 2.2... I've literally spent several hours on this; at one point it was alternating between dummy serial numbers and [DEMO] mode... The popups came back as well.
The new installer is so primitive that it doesn't even let you choose the path where the content folder is installed; which means that less savvy users with preset packs or user patches in a custom location (an option available in 2.1) would be screwed. Am glad that I realized that before I deleted my old folder.
Will stay tuned to this thread and my support tickets to see when a new version drops.

Next time I started my computer ZETA was in demo modeTeksonik wrote:Did you actually get it working ? As in no audio drop outs/demo restrictions ? How did you get it to install and what version was it ?stardustmedia wrote:I was able to install it successfully without CCC on the second computer.
Geee... this is getting out of hand. And there I was full of good hopes
Reinstalled it again thru CCC... seems to work now. No demo mode and the version is showing 2.2.0.

According to the Cakewalk forum, it actually means "Load FX from another Preset", i.e. a Z3TA+ preset. Which is still very useful, and I have no need to load any of my effects VSTs into Z3TA+ itself anyway.Numanoid wrote:How to "Load FX from another Program" ?

I wonder if known bugs still exist in this version...
Anyway, I will install this in the near future .

It's been asked (pleaded) many times for an FX version of Z3TA+2 just like there was for version 1. It would make for an excellent multi effects unit (the 6 Voice Chorus is a real favorite here). I've personally offered to pay extra for an FX version.basslinemaster wrote:I have no need to load any of my effects VSTs into Z3TA+ itself anyway.
Not sure why it would be such a big deal from a coding standpoint. Many synths have an FX version and as I said version 1 did as well. Cakewalk as far as I can remember never even bothered to acknowledge the requests.
To be honest since René Ceballos left Cakewalk things seem to have gone down hill...........

OK. I gave one chance to cakewalk, but this new Z3TA+ is disturbing.
I installed several programs but I can't use this new Z3TA on win7.
I used FL Studio 12 for this "test".
First Installed without CCC, then Reinstalled with CCC and it says demo mode.
This was the last time I used this product. (Why should I reboot my pc?)
And for those, who seek wavetable synths, I advise to pick one from this list,
and rather use that
-Xferrecords Serum
-Native Instruments Massive
-PPG WaveGenerator
-Waves Codex
-Waldorf Largo

What i observed is that, if I install it in Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugIns it is authorized. If I copy the folder tpo another location, like C:\Program Files \VstPlugIns, which is my common VST plug-ins folder, there it launches in Demo mode. However, the installed version remains authorized.Dewdman42 wrote:Here's another person that updated Z3ta with CCC on OSX and now its stuck in demo mode...
(sigh)
Another thing. It only installed/updated the 64-bit versions of the plug-in. In spite of the specs in Cakewalk state that is is 32-bit and 64-bit, the installer, for some reason, ignores the 32-bit versions. Already reported to Cakewalk.

So no way to insert a licence key without Command Centre?
Seems silly as other plugs like CA-2A are registered when run for the first time

Cakewalk said to me that they're working on offline registration update for z3ta and CCC update. Should likely be done this week or before Xmas.

By offline do you mean it will be possible to install and authorize the update without installing the CCC (I think I know the answer I just want to be sure).EvilDragon wrote:Cakewalk said to me that they're working on offline registration update for z3ta and CCC update. Rene was both the brains and the inspiration...
Not sure what happened there, but I agree with you...
Since Rene left the building, the only thing that has worked - well if you are on a PC - is the Z3TA+2 and Sonar X3e Pro updates...
Everything else has been well below par...
And since Henry took over, their "Command Centre" has been like amateur half hour
No auto tune...

I was talking about loading external VST effects inside Z3TA+2 (or rather, the fact that you can't), not using it as an FX version, so I don't know why you quoted my post.Teksonik wrote:It's been asked (pleaded) many times for an FX version of Z3TA+2 just like there was for version 1.
