Spark 2 Instant Crash at Startup - is anyone home at Arturia?

All,

Purchased the V4 bundle in mid December. Was very excited about getting these instruments into my workflow. Really wanted to use Spark. But can't.

Every time I attempt to use this instrument in standalone mode - it crashes immediately at start up. I have no tried to use it as a VST inside a host yet.

Things I have done include a complete uninstall. Then a reinstall of the latest version. Still no joy. I also have an open ticket for 8 weeks now with Arturia and no response whatsoever.

Can anyone give a brother any idea as to what is going on?

Do you have a crash message ?
Are you on mac or PC ?
Did you try to delete this folder then reinstall :
MAC = Library/Arturia/Spark
PC = C:/Program Data/Arturia/Spark

Wow! That was it.

Any ideas why I need to run as admin - when all other instruments on my DAW run fine without admin?

I don't know, but it is a typical problem. Maybe your DAW has the correct rights but not the Spark. You can change the rights of the folders.

Lol, several of my vsts now require running as administrator. When will Windows get a life. Do you realize we are answering to Bill Gates if we want to run, copy, etc as our own admin, even as the administrator account? Is this security, if we can simply say yes and proceed? Who will this stop? Reminds me of Phillip K Dick and HP Lovecraft stories about insane cyborgs and demons.
